00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday. It's rain or
00:04showers through this morning although the rain across Scotland will slowly
00:07clear the mainland showers will be heavy. All courtesy of an area of low pressure
00:12which brought wet weather yesterday and it is slowly moving towards the far
00:17north of Scotland but showers circulating around it through Friday. The
00:21winds will be fairly brisk but not as strong as Thursday and then into
00:26Saturday a bit of a squeeze on the ice bars across central southern parts of
00:29England and Wales so some stronger winds here a lighter breeze further north
00:32where showers if you catch one could last for some time. Now let's get back to
00:37this morning if you're stepping out across Scotland it's wet and windy. We're
00:40seeing showery bursts of rain across northern England clipping Northern
00:43Ireland. The Isle of Man seeing a few showers down towards Wales as well as
00:46the West Country. One or two running in across Irish sea coast as well as
00:50Channel Coast and inland the Midlands, Eastern Council of England some fine
00:54weather to start the day. The cloud just drifting across the sky at least though
00:58you'll see some sunshine and today has a real different feel to things relative
01:02to the last few mornings where it's been very cold it's mild outside. So with
01:06that some seeing some sunshine first thing but showers from the word go
01:10towards the west and this rain will be persistent and heavy at times across the
01:14far north and west of Scotland. Watch out for these strong winds particularly
01:17across Caithness, Orkney as well as Shetland. Some stronger winds slowly
01:21coming in across the the far west of Northern Ireland this is where the
01:24centre of the low is. Elsewhere it's sunshine and showers. These showers
01:28could cluster together through the afternoon turning heavy with an outside
01:32chance of thunder but in between some pleasant sunshine. So real mixed fortunes
01:37today if you catch a shower it's going to feel rather chilly but in any brighter
01:40break 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. So that's the picture this afternoon through this
01:46evening the rain returns to Northern Ireland and this band of showery rain
01:50extends towards the Isle of Man, Wales, the West Country, pivots towards the
01:54Midlands, Northern England. A few showers ahead of it and further showery bursts
01:58likely across northern parts of Scotland. So wherever you are no one immune to wet
02:02weather through the weekend but there will be some fine conditions coming
02:05through as well. On Saturday morning it's a bit of a chilly start particularly
02:09across Scotland, North East England, Northern Ireland. Elsewhere temperatures
02:13holding around 8, 9, 10 degrees Celsius but this showery rain first thing across
02:18Northern England, the Midlands, southern parts of Scotland could have some heavy
02:21pulses embedded within it and you can see there's further spells of showery
02:25rain moving in across eastern Scotland and it pretty much is a rinse and repeat
02:29through Saturday. So showers, sunshine and then more showers. Temperatures then yet
02:35again coming in the mid to high teens. Your outlook then for Sunday. A scattering
02:40of showers, temperatures up a degree or so, feeling warm in any brighter breaks
02:44and that pretty much sets the scene for next week. As temperatures slowly
02:48recover it's going to feel warmer. I'll see you later.
