00:00Hello there. Now things are slightly settling down from the west over the next 36-48 hours.
00:07Even so, strong winds towards the east and still some showers in the mix. In fact, through
00:12Thursday we can see this area of cloud and rain just sinking southwards, weakening all
00:18the while with showers to follow. The air remains cold across Scotland and northern
00:21England. We hang on to some fine weather on Thursday towards the south and then a legacy
00:26of showers on Friday across eastern counties. But notice this, high pressure gradually
00:30building from the west and more about that in a moment. Now for the time being, a relentless
00:35wind along this east coast through Wednesday evening. Showers continue across eastern counties.
00:40We could see a few running in also across the far southwest. At the same time, clearer
00:45skies across the majority of the country and even a touch of rural frost as we head into
00:52Thursday morning. It's a chilly start to the day. Always a few showers just lingering
00:57across Kent as well as Essex. At the same time, across the northwest of Scotland, more
01:01cloud will move in and some showery bursts of rain. So as you're stepping out on Thursday
01:07morning, bright for many, still rather chilly, but the sun does have some strength to it
01:11now and we'll see slightly higher temperatures in the south as we head through the day. Through
01:16Thursday morning then, this cloud will continue to thicken and slowly march its way eastwards
01:21and southwards. The rain will always be patchy along the eastern side, persistent across
01:25the northwest and pushing up across Shetland as well as Orkney. And you can see the rain
01:29waxing and waning through the morning. A glancing swipe of that rain just clipping the north
01:36and the east of Northern Ireland, but you should see just a few showers through the
01:39afternoon as we see some patchy rain move in across northern counties of England and
01:44occasionally clipping the far north of Wales. To the south of that, we hang on to some bright
01:49and fine weather. 15 degrees Celsius will be your high. Stronger winds across the northwest
01:53of Scotland, 10 or even 11 degrees Celsius. And in any sunshine, we'll see a 12 for Northern
01:59Ireland as well as Wales, southern parts of Wales. Now through Thursday evening and overnight,
02:04still strong winds across the northeast of Scotland and rather breezy further west. This
02:09area of cloud and rain tends to weaken as it slides down the country. So a cloudier
02:15night across England and Wales and showers will follow across Scotland, one or two just
02:20reaching Northern Ireland. These winds will be strong across the northeast of Scotland
02:24and we hang on to more clouds as we enter Friday, particularly across more central and
02:29southern parts of England and Wales with some patchy rain. So come a Friday morning, yes,
02:33a relentless wind as you can see here across more eastern counties. The air remains cold.
02:39However, as we head through into Saturday, high pressure will really mean the winds will ease.
02:46We will see a little bit more cloud across the far north of Scotland later on in the day on
02:50Saturday and some patchy rain. And then on Sunday, I think it's going to be the warmer of the two
02:54days through the weekend with some sunny spells coming through and cloud just drifting across the
02:59skies. We could see some showers across eastern counties. So through Friday morning, a legacy of
03:05that cloud and patchy rain associated with this weather front slowly clearing. The winds will be
03:11strong along this eastern side and also delivering showers and we'll see showers pretty much building
03:17through the day. So a scattering through the afternoon with some sunshine coming through,
03:21especially across the northwest of England and western parts of Scotland. Temperatures on this
03:26eastern side, though, struggling 7 to 11 degrees Celsius help with that cold wind 14 or 15 further
03:32south as that cloud breaks up through the afternoon. So through Friday evening and overnight,
03:38notice the winds will fall light towards the west and that leads into a fine day on Saturday for
03:43most. Some sunshine coming through, temperatures typically around 12 to 14 Celsius. Later,
03:48more cloud across the far north of Scotland and also some outbreaks of rain here. However,
03:54come Sunday, we'll see slightly higher temperatures, the cloud drifting across the sky,
03:58perhaps the odd shower towards the east. And that's not only eastern counties of Scotland,
04:03but also eastern counties of England where we could see more cloud even so temperatures coming
04:07in around 16 degrees Celsius. For more details of the outlook, check out our 10 day trend and
04:13I'll see you later.
