00:00Hello there, and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning. I can promise a lot of sunshine yet again today.
00:07There's some detail to talk about through this morning though. High pressure sits to the east of the UK, delivering that settled weather,
00:15but also more cloud across England and Wales through this morning. A bit of a squeeze on the isobars,
00:20and that means it's quite breezy down these parts as well, even so temperatures rising very nicely.
00:25So let's take a look at the detail. If you're stepping out first thing this morning across Scotland, it is a chilly start,
00:31and even some mist and fog patches to start the day. A similar situation for Northern Ireland, some shallow mist and fog here,
00:38and down towards the far north of England. Then we run into this cloud, particularly across eastern counties, the Midlands, eastern parts of Wales.
00:46Now this cloud will break up through the morning, allowing for some sunshine through the afternoon as it breaks up in situ and burns back to the coast.
00:53This breeze will be a feature of the weather throughout the day today, but notice towards the west it's a fine morning,
00:59again with some sunshine for West Wales and the southwest of England. So through the morning we watch as this cloud breaks.
01:07Elsewhere it's fine, dry with some gorgeous sunshine coming through, and even brightening up across Shetland after a bit of a cloudy start.
01:17But notice this cloud will erode quite quickly, so by around lunchtime it's a lovely day here with some sunny spells.
01:23Again the breeze will continue through the afternoon, and notice along this coast there could be one or two patches of stubborn cloud through the latter part of the day.
01:33And here where you see that cloud, temperatures probably only 16 or 17. 24 in the sunshine towards the southeast, 21 for Wales, 18 or 19 for Northern Ireland,
01:43and the western side of Scotland coming in 21 or 22 degrees Celsius.
01:48Now through this evening and overnight this cloud returns, and it could encroach along the eastern side of Scotland as well,
01:55slowly moving in across the Midlands, East Wales, even Northern England.
01:59So again some cloudier skies, keeping temperatures up, but in the glens of Scotland in the countryside, temperatures dipping down to around 5, 6, 7 degrees Celsius.
02:08A cool start to the day also for Northern Ireland, but you'll see some sunshine.
02:12Now through Thursday morning, yet again we watch as the cloud breaks and erodes.
02:17So some sunshine coming through during the afternoon, again there could be some stubborn patches towards the east, but temperatures typically around 21 to 25 degrees Celsius.
02:26Feeling warm in that sunshine, cooler though along the eastern side of Scotland, northeast England, where on Friday again you could see more cloud.
02:34Brighter skies towards the west, but showers will develop through Thursday evening overnight into Friday,
02:40so watch out for some showers on Friday, and they could pep up into the weekend with the risk of thunder.
02:45Have a lovely day, I'll see you again soon.
