00:00Hello. Well, depending on where you're waking up this morning, you're either going to see
00:04some bright sunshine or it's going to be a bit of a cloudy start and fairly damp too.
00:09Now why is this? Well, we currently have a waving frontal system draped across the UK,
00:13which is bringing an influx of cloud and some damp weather. But to the far north of this
00:17feature, there'll be plenty of dry weather and later on in the south too. But low pressure
00:22is never too far away as it moves closer towards the UK for the start of the weekend. Back
00:28to today, though, it will be a fairly cloudy picture with some outbreaks of rain across
00:32southern parts of Wales, central and southern England and parts of East Anglia. And this
00:36will be heavy at times to some showers feeding into the north of England and southern Scotland
00:42to and these also heavy at times. And you may also hear the odd rumble of thunder gradually
00:47clearing up across the south, allowing some brighter spells to develop. And across Scotland,
00:52plenty of warm sunshine on offer. And with temperatures in the low teens, high 20s, that
00:57means it will be feeling warm and pleasant where you do catch those sunnier spells. Now
01:02into the evening, the cloud and rain from the day will gradually move its way northward.
01:07Still, once again, could be heavy at times as it does so. But it does allow plenty of
01:10clear spells across the southern half of the UK. And with light winds, we may also see
01:15some mist and fog develop. And under those clear skies as well, it's probably going to
01:19be feeling a little bit chillier compared to recent nights. But elsewhere and across
01:22the northern half of the UK, under that cloud, another mild night on offer. So to start the
01:29weekend then, a bit of a north-south split across the UK. A slightly chillier start across
01:34the south and once any mist and fog clears, plenty of sunshine developing. But across
01:39the northern half of the UK, there will still be plenty of cloud around. Still some outbreaks
01:44of rain and this a little heavy at times, particularly across high ground across Scotland.
01:49The south doesn't completely escape the wet weather as we are expecting some showers outbreak
01:55towards the afternoon. And these, once again, could be heavy. But there will be some dry
01:58weather across parts of Wales, northern England and in between any showers. And once again,
02:03with those temperatures in the mid to high teens, it will be feeling pleasant where you
02:07do catch the sunshine. Now, as it's the bank holiday weekend, I'm sure you're keen to find
02:12out what the weather will be doing. Now, forecast detail at the moment is low, fairly low confidence.
02:18But what I can tell you is that it will be unsettled, there will be some showers and
02:22some further longer spells of rain. But there will be some dry weather as well and with
02:26temperatures still in the high teens, it will still be feeling warm in that sunshine too.
