00:00Hello again. It's going to be another chilly night for many of us. A touch of
00:04frost in some places and the cool feel, especially for the time of year, will
00:08continue into Friday. At the moment we are under the influence of low pressure
00:13just out to the North Sea. That's brought quite a few showers as we've been
00:17through Thursday and we will see some further showery rain continuing,
00:20particularly across southern parts through this evening and overnight. A few
00:24showers perhaps across northern and eastern coastal parts, but across
00:27northern parts of England, Wales, into Scotland and Northern Ireland there will
00:30also be some clear skies at times and these clear skies combined with some
00:35cold air we have across us at the moment and light winds the perfect
00:39ingredients for temperatures to take quite a dip. So most towns and cities
00:43holding up just a bit above freezing, but in some prone rural spots we could get
00:47as low as minus 3 minus 4 Celsius, so some frost quite likely, although towards
00:52the far south where we cling on to a bit more cloud it is going to be a milder
00:55start on Friday here. In the south there will be some showery rain first thing,
01:00particularly across parts of Cornwall. Some of that could be heavy and that
01:02will feed into Devon as we go through the day. Elsewhere showers across
01:06northern and eastern parts becoming more widespread, so a greater chance of most
01:09places seeing a shower as we go into the afternoon. Also in the afternoon across
01:14parts of the southwest this showery rain is going to turn pretty heavy at times,
01:18could cause some difficult driving conditions, so do take care if you are
01:22heading out on the roads later on Friday. There will be some sunny spells
01:26around and in the sunshine it's not going to feel too bad, the sun's got some
01:30decent strength behind it at this time of year, but temperatures are on the low
01:34side for the time of year. Highs of around 8 or 9 Celsius across northern
01:38parts, 12 to 13 possibly 14 Celsius further south. Some more showers to come
01:43as we go through the evening. Further south across parts of southern England
01:48and Wales it's going to stay pretty cloudy overnight, further showery rain at
01:52times could be a little bit heavy for some. Across northern areas though a
01:55drier picture, still some showers dotted around, but on the whole a mostly dry
02:00night and clearer skies and where we get the clear skies in the north and the
02:04cloud in the south that really tells the story as to our temperatures in as much
02:08as the clearer skies again allowing for temperatures to drop. So once more quite
02:13a bit of frost around in rural spots in particular on Saturday morning, but a
02:17milder start again in the south and across central parts it's going to be
02:20quite a bit milder than on Friday morning perhaps. As we go through
02:24Saturday itself then still some outbreaks of rain across parts of
02:28England and Wales edging a little bit further northwards, the odd heavier one
02:31perhaps but shouldn't cause too many issues. Showers also for northern western
02:35parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, further east likely to stay largely dry
02:39with some decent bright or sunny spells. On the whole yes most of us will see a
02:44bit of rain at times on Saturday but it doesn't look like it will be too much of
02:47a washout and temperatures will be starting to climb just a little bit,
02:51greater chance of getting into double figures across northern parts compared
02:54to Thursday and Friday. As we look towards Sunday and this is when we could
02:59see some impactful weather, an area of low pressure feeding up from the south
03:02is set to bring some heavy persistent rain across eastern southeastern parts
03:06for a time. Bit of uncertainty as to exactly where that rain is going to
03:10track, it could push a little bit further westwards but at the moment there are
03:14signs that across western areas Sunday actually looks like it will stay largely
03:18dry, just watch out for that heavy rain then across parts of the east. That's it
03:23for me, if you want more information about what we can expect as we go
03:25through this weekend do head to our YouTube channel, I'll see you later.
