00:00Hello, very good evening to you. It's actually going to turn a bit quieter, but also a bit
00:04chillier as we go through this evening and overnight. That's because the low pressure
00:08that's brought the blustery, showery weather many of us have had today is going to clear
00:12away towards the east. And behind it then, a brief ridge of high pressure, a transient
00:17ridge is going to push its way in. As well as that, we are going to have a bit of a northerly
00:21wind allowing for some colder air to plunge its way southwards overnight, which is why
00:25temperatures are going to drop relatively low. That being said, there are still some
00:30showery outbreaks across eastern parts through this evening and some could linger overnight,
00:34particularly for Orkney and Shetland. Otherwise, most places turning largely dry with largely
00:39clear skies as well. But towards the southwest, Devon Cornwall here, we may see some thicker
00:44cloud pushing its way in and some outbreaks of rain are possible towards dawn too. Like
00:49I said, it's turning colder, especially with the clear skies. And so it is going to be
00:52remarkably colder than it has been through some recent nights, particularly across England
00:56and Wales, a fairly widespread rural frost, especially across northern parts. And in fact,
01:02across parts of Scotland, the sheltered glens, we could see temperatures dropping as low
01:05as minus three or minus four. Watch out for a few icy patches. Also, the chance of a few
01:11pockets of mist and fog first thing. But once these clear, actually, Saturday gets off to
01:17a pretty fine start. Lots of sunny skies across many areas, clinging on to that sunshine for
01:21longest towards the north and east, but clouds spilling in from the southwest. So many places
01:27will turn cloudier as we go through the day and there will be a bit of wet weather around
01:31too. But the first front that pushes its way in, that bashes against that ridge of high
01:36pressure I mentioned. And so it is going to be quite a weak feature. It's the second feature
01:41coming in slightly later. That's going to bring the heavier, more intense rain initially
01:46across parts of Northern Ireland as we go through later in the afternoon. We're also
01:50going to see the wind strengthening in association with this, and we're going to drag in some
01:55milder air. So although we get off to a chilly start on Saturday, temperatures are going
01:59to rise as we go through the day. And although the highest temperatures may be quite late
02:04on through the afternoon and possibly in the evening, nonetheless, we're likely to see
02:09maximum temperatures ranging from around nine to 10 in the north to around 13 to 14 Celsius
02:15further south. That wet weather is then going to spill its way across pretty much the whole
02:19of the country as we go through the end of Saturday and overnight into Sunday. Could
02:23be quite heavy at times, 15, 20 millimetres, perhaps even more than 25 millimetres over
02:28some places, perhaps southwest Scotland and the higher ground in northwest England. But
02:32it does clear away towards the east for most places by the time we wake up on Sunday morning.
02:37Perhaps lingering across parts of the southeast, East Anglia, Kent may wake up on Sunday morning
02:42to a bit of a wet start. Something a bit drier following in behind, still some outbreaks
02:47of rain and largely cloudy, some blustery winds too. As a result, it's going to be a
02:51much milder night. Some places, particularly across Wales, southwest England, are going
02:56to hold up in double figures, a little bit chillier further north, but a frost free night.
03:01So temperatures much higher than on Friday night. As we go through Sunday itself, then,
03:05like I said, some rain across parts of the southeast to start. That will clear away and
03:10then, well, it doesn't look like too wet today. There will be some outbreaks of rain, perhaps
03:14across Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland and elsewhere, a scattering of showers and
03:18you can't rule out the odd heavy shower. But for many, there will be some decent dry weather
03:24and even some bright or sunny spells. There may be some strong winds towards the south
03:28and perhaps the northeast. Elsewhere, further in the land, the winds don't look particularly
03:32strong and we have some milder air across us again. So temperatures likely to be in
03:36the mid, possibly even high teen Celsius, well above average for the time of year. Looking
03:42ahead into next week and a bit of uncertainty, more uncertainty than usual. But Monday should
03:47be largely dry before a weather system pushes its way in through Tuesday, bringing some
03:52rain then and then another systems likely to feed up from the southwest. Low pressure
03:56to the west or southwest of the UK could bring more unsettled weather as we go through the
04:00middle part of the week. But to stay up to date, make sure you subscribe to our YouTube
