00:00Hello, very good day to you. There's going to be some further wet weather across northern
00:04parts as we go through the rest of today but further south staying dry, bright and pretty
00:09warm too. That's because we have high pressure here dominating leading to the settled conditions
00:14and with that some very warm air which is why temperatures are likely to rise into the
00:19low 20 Celsius. It could be the warmest day of the year so far. Like I said though, further
00:24north a more unsettled picture. Outbreaks of rain pushing their way in. Some of them
00:28could be a bit heavy at times particularly across parts of Scotland though across the
00:32north east of Scotland we will cling on to some sunshine well through the afternoon.
00:36Do watch out for some strong gusty winds particularly towards the far northwest. Like I said at
00:41the start though, across more central southern parts of England and Wales lots of fine weather
00:45here. Plenty of sunshine around although worth bearing in mind that the sunshine could be
00:49a bit hazy, a bit milky at times because of some high level cloud. Temperatures really
00:54are going to rise well above average for the time of year. Yesterday we just about
00:58got above 20 Celsius and I think it will be a few degrees warmer than that today for many
01:03of us. Highs of around 21 possibly 22 Celsius towards the southeast. A few degrees lower
01:08than this further north and west but nonetheless most places a few degrees above average for
01:13the time of year. More wet weather to come particularly across northern parts as we go
01:17through this evening and overnight. Still could be some heavy outbreaks of rain. Towards
01:21the south, particularly the south coast there could be some murkiness, some coastal fog
01:25around English Channel coastal parts. Otherwise some clear skies developing but because of
01:31that warm mild air that we have across us temperatures really aren't going to drop much.
01:35Most places holding up in high single figures or double digits particularly in your towns
01:40and cities. As we go through tomorrow then a mild start for most of us and yes some murkiness
01:45towards the far south but this should largely clear away as we go through the morning. Across
01:49northern and western parts of England and Wales a bit more cloud than we've seen through
01:53today and that cloud will bring some outbreaks of rain. That's shifting a bit further southeast
01:57as we go through the day so some outbreaks of rain pushing it into parts of the Midlands
02:01too. Towards the southeast though actually holding on to a good deal of fine sunny weather
02:06through a big chunk of the day. It's not really until the evening that we see a bit of rain
02:09arriving here. More showery rain to come across parts of Scotland, Northern England and Northern
02:14Ireland. Some of this could be quite heavy at times, some squally winds pushing in in
02:18association with the downpours and we could see some winteriness over the highest ground
02:22too. Temperatures will be a touch lower on Saturday compared to today. We're still likely
02:27to get to the high teens may just about scrape into the low 20s towards the southeast but
02:32generally it is going to start to feel that little bit fresher and that's a sign of what's
02:37to come as we go later on in the weekend. Because on Sunday yes there'll be some dry
02:42fine weather towards the southeast but plenty of showers towards the north and west and
02:46some of these showers will be heavy, they will be thundery at times and they could have
02:50some hail mixed in with them too and with the risk of some showers pushing their way
02:55in from the northwest we're going to see fresher air arriving as well and so our temperatures
02:59really are going to be dropping as we go through the weekend and into the beginning of next
03:03week. Mid teens at best towards the southeast, some places towards the north just about getting
03:08into double digits or some places staying in single figures. So a fresher feel as we
03:13go through Sunday compared to Saturday. Of course we will keep you up to date with the
03:17full forecast as we go through the weekend so make sure you never miss an update by subscribing
