00:00Hello there, good afternoon. It is a drier day than yesterday for many of us, but there
00:04is a risk of some quite blustery showers through the rest of the day. They've been most frequent
00:09across the west so far, but this afternoon they will spread into more eastern areas,
00:13particularly into the southeast by this afternoon and the evening. Across northeastern areas
00:18of Scotland and northeastern areas of England as well, it should stay largely dry through
00:22the day and here we'll see the best of the sunshine. But in the west, exposed to that
00:26westerly breeze and we do get caught in any of those showers, it's going to be feeling
00:30much colder than of late. But these temperatures are actually much closer to seasonal average.
00:36The showers will continue across the south and east through this evening, but further
00:40west and north, it should turn drier as the evening progresses. But you can't rule out
00:45the risk of the odd shower here and there. But for many of us, it will be a largely dry
00:50and clear night that's going to allow for quite a widespread frost to develop by Saturday
00:55morning, particularly across parts of Scotland and northern England. Here it could be as
00:59low as minus six by tomorrow morning. So there is a risk of ice on any surfaces that are
01:03wet from any showers through the day. There could also be some quite extensive mist and
01:08fog across central and eastern areas that could be fairly slow to clear through Saturday
01:12morning. But away from that, it's going to be a dry and sunny start to the weekend. The
01:17best of the sunshine will be through the morning as cloud will bubble up as the day progresses.
01:22That will allow some showers to break out here and there across the UK. But showers
01:26will be much fewer and further between, and they will be much lighter than today. So many
01:31areas should get away with a dry Saturday and in the sunshine. Yes, it is colder than
01:36it has been lately, but it's not going to be feeling too bad at all as the winds will
01:39be fairly light. It stays quite settled through Saturday evening, so it will be a dry end
01:44to the day. But temperatures will fall away quite quickly once again. So it's going to
01:48be another very cold night and start to the day on Sunday. But we'll see a clearer sky,
01:55so less of a risk of any mist and fog developing on Sunday morning. So a cold start to the
01:59day on Sunday should stay largely dry across northern areas. But it's in the south where
02:03there's a chance of some quite wet weather. There is some uncertainty in the details of
02:07how far north this rain will push. It's most likely across the south and east, but it could
02:11spread further west into parts of south Wales and across the Midlands as well. So keep up
02:16to date with the details on that if you are in those areas on Sunday. And you can do that
02:20by subscribing to our YouTube channel. See you later on.
