00:00Good afternoon. There's a risk of some heavy, possibly thundery downpours for some of us
00:05into this afternoon. But into the west, actually, it's turning a bit drier to end the week.
00:10That's because high pressure is slowly starting to build in from the west. But across the
00:14east, we've got low pressure very much in charge. And where we're closer to that area
00:18of low pressure across eastern Scotland, that's where these showers could be quite slow moving.
00:23There is a thunderstorm warning in force here because it could bring some localised flooding
00:27where they do last a few hours. Further south and east, there was a risk of some heavy showers,
00:32but they should move through a little quicker. But I think if you do get caught in one of
00:35them, it's going to be unpleasant for a time. Further west, drier, still a risk of some
00:40showers, but I think generally drier than the east. And temperatures are a little higher
00:44than they were yesterday, around average for the time of year. The best of the warmth will
00:48be across the south in that sunshine highs of 21 degrees, but most of us into the high
00:53teens. Now, through this evening, those heavy showers across the north and east will continue
00:59to push southwards across parts of Scotland and into parts of northeast England as well.
01:04We'll also see some heavy showers potentially across parts of Wales into the southwest by
01:08tomorrow morning. But into the southeast, that's where it turns drier through the night.
01:13The risk of mist and fog developing on any surfaces that are wet. It could be a bit of
01:18a murky start to the day, quite a lot of cloud around and quite a brisk breeze as well. So
01:21it's going to be another fairly mild start to the day. Temperatures at around 11 or 12
01:26degrees across the UK. And then through Thursday, it's going to be another unsettled day. Low
01:31pressure still in charge and we've got this feature pushing south and eastwards through
01:35the day. That's going to bring some heavy outbreaks of rain to central areas in particular,
01:39first thing tomorrow. But where we're close to that low pressure, some heavy rain could
01:43push into the northeast coast of England as well. So I think eastern areas will see the
01:47worst of the rain through Thursday. In the west, actually, it's looking much drier and
01:52brighter than today and elsewhere in the country as well. However, we've got a northerly wind.
01:57It's still quite a brisk breeze as well. So it's going to feel a little bit fresher tomorrow,
02:02despite the war in the way of sunshine, particularly if you're exposed to that northerly wind.
02:07So you will notice a bit of a difference, I think. However, there will be more sunshine
02:10around in the west and that should last into the evening as clearer skies do develop. They
02:15will become a little bit more widespread overnight on Thursday evening and into Friday
02:20as that more settled weather starts to spread eastwards from the west, bringing us a fairly
02:25fine upcoming weekend. See you later. Bye bye.
