00:00Hello. Some wet weather is on the way for Thursday, but this afternoon is looking fairly
00:04dry and sunny for many of us. So far today, we've had a bright start across parts of Scotland,
00:11Northern Ireland. It has meant for a fairly fresh start, though, particularly considering
00:14the temperatures we've had lately. A different story, though, further east, a bit more cloud
00:18around. That's because there's an occluded weather front, and the heat from earlier on
00:23in the week is still trapped ahead of that weather front. So it's still fairly warm in
00:27these areas through today, and also fairly cloudy. This weather front will push eastwards
00:32through the rest of the day, but brings a risk of some drizzly outbreaks of rain, particularly
00:37across southern areas of England. We could see the odd heavier shower breaking out once
00:41this cloud does break up. Elsewhere, though, it will be a dry and bright afternoon. Plenty
00:46of sunshine around, and it won't be feeling too bad at all in the sunshine. The winds
00:50are quite light for most areas. Temperatures climbing 21, 22 degrees quite widely. A little
00:55fresher than that further north and west, where the winds will pick up overnight tonight,
01:00and that spell of wet weather for Thursday is set to arrive through this evening into
01:04parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland as well. So turning a bit cloudier and damper through
01:08this evening here. Further south, a dry night, some cloud here and there, particularly across
01:12the south and east, and temperatures will be a little bit lower than they have been
01:16lately for much of England and Wales. But across Scotland after that fresh night last
01:20night, we're back up into the mid-teens with all this cloud and rain. So a much milder
01:26night across Scotland and Northern Ireland to come tonight, and it is going to be a pretty
01:30wet day for many north-western areas, particularly across parts of north-west England into Cumbria.
01:35We could see some very heavy rain as well as some south-western areas of Scotland too.
01:39That could bring some localised flooding issues, but the rain will slowly sink south and eastwards
01:44into Wales, northern England, some central areas of England as well by the end of the
01:49afternoon. But ahead of this weather front, it will remain largely dry. And we've still
01:54got fairly warm air, to be honest. So temperatures still set to climb towards 25 or 26 degrees.
02:00But the breeze is going to pick up. It's a south-westerly breeze, hence the higher temperatures.
02:04But you'll certainly notice the difference. Now, the temperature difference between today
02:08and tomorrow is a little different wherever you are in the country. Actually, once this
02:13wet weather pushes through parts of the north-west, it will turn much cooler. Temperature is going
02:17to be much fresher by the end of tomorrow compared to today with all that sunshine.
02:22And in the south and east, it will be probably a brighter day tomorrow and a warmer day as well.
02:27But that rain will sink into the south and east by the end of Thursday into the evening,
02:31lasting through much of Friday night, perhaps lingering through Friday morning as well across
02:37the far south and east. But from the north, actually, it's turning much drier and brighter.
02:42And that's signs of what's to come for the weekend as it is looking fairly fine wherever
02:46you are. But you can find more details on that with our latest 10-day trend on YouTube.
02:50Catch you again soon. Bye-bye.
