00:00Hello, and a very good afternoon to you. Plenty of sunshine on offer through this afternoon.
00:05We've got very settled conditions through this Sunday, and that's due to this area of
00:09high pressure out towards the Azores, extending a ridge across the southern half of the UK
00:14through Sunday. But as we head later on through Sunday into Monday, we do have low pressure
00:18waiting out further west, and we will see a return of some wet and windy weather into
00:23the start of the new working week. But back to today, we do have plenty of sunshine
00:28around, quite hazy though in some spots, and there is some cloud around too. But there
00:32will be more in the way of sunshine than we saw yesterday for Piccadilly, for Wales and
00:36parts of the southwest. You know, a decent sunshine on offer through this afternoon.
00:41But further north across northwest England, there will still be some showers around and
00:45certainly for the western half of Scotland, a brisk westerly wind continuing here and
00:50those showers continuing to at best for Scotland into the mid or high teens and feeling quite
00:55chilly again with those strong winds on exposed spots. But further south, we do start to see
00:59a bit more in the way of warmth, 25 degrees closer to London and feeling quite pleasant
01:04in that sunshine in some sheltered spots as well. And through the evening will be quite
01:08a pleasant evening for much of the UK as well. Lots of that cloud melting away as we head
01:13through Sunday evening and then heading into Sunday night. We do have thickening cloud
01:18arriving from the west and rain and some more persistent drizzle arriving into the western
01:22parts of Scotland cloud across Northern Ireland, too, and across through the Irish Sea. We
01:27do start to see some drizzly showers pushing up into the southwest of England, Wales and
01:32as well some parts of northwest England, too. But ahead of this, quite a lot of clear spells
01:37and it will be quite a fresh night still could get down into some single figures in the far
01:41east of England and maybe one or two mist and fog patches in rural spots as well. But
01:47these mist and fog patches won't last too long through Monday. There'll be plenty of
01:50sunshine across the eastern half of the UK to start Monday morning, but very much an
01:55east west split. We already have a lot of this cloud and rain steadily moving towards
01:59the east, initially quite light and drizzly. But this heavy rain arriving as we head in
02:03towards the afternoon and we do have a yellow rain warning on in force and that's for southwest
02:09Scotland could give some quite difficult driving conditions. We've got this strong southerly
02:12wind coming up through the Irish Sea and we could see some gales as well here, too. With
02:18that southerly wind, though, we do still have some quite warm and humid air arriving
02:22as well. So we do could still see 26 degrees in the far east of England, but underneath
02:28that cloud and with that rain at best into the mid or high teens further west. And it
02:34will be feeling quite cool as well underneath that cloud heading through the evening. That
02:40rain will steadily and slowly begin to sink further southeast. And with those strong winds
02:44could make for some difficult driving conditions through the evening as well. Staying unsettled
02:50as we head into the later part of next week. So do keep an eye on our YouTube channel to
02:54stay ahead of the weather.
