00:00Hello, good evening. Some rain is due across southern areas through tonight so
00:04the dry spell will be ending for some of us for the weekend. However, further north
00:09higher pressure is still in charge that will bring dry weather particularly for
00:14northwestern areas through the weekend. But it's to the south where this area of
00:17low pressure will sit to the south and west of the UK with these weather fronts
00:21swirling up pushing up towards the UK through the course of Saturday and
00:25Sunday. But it's this weather front here that will bring some showery outbreaks
00:28of rain through this evening to parts of Devon and Cornwall. Further north
00:31though elsewhere across the UK it should be a dry night but it will be quite a
00:35cloudy and breezy night and there will be some drizzly outbreaks of rain
00:39perhaps from time to time across eastern coasts of Scotland as well as
00:43northeastern England. However, with the strength of the breeze that does mean
00:48that frost will be very much limited to any sheltered glens across the far
00:52northwest of Scotland. But there is still going to be a chilly breeze
00:55through the course of Saturday despite the lack of frost. The winds will be
00:59quite gusty across western areas of Scotland also northwestern England, West
01:03Wales too and that burst of heavy rain will push northwards through the day.
01:07Though it will tend to fade away and become much lighter as it pushes into
01:11parts of Scotland. Further south there will be some brighter spells for a time
01:15through the middle of the afternoon but those brighter spells will allow some
01:18showers to break out. These showers could be quite heavy and long-lasting and do
01:22bring a risk of some surface water issues as well so do take care if you
01:27are traveling out and about on Saturday. But in any of the sunshine it will feel
01:31fairly pleasant highs of 12 or 13 degrees but if you are on the east coast
01:35through Saturday that chilly feel that we've had through much of the week and
01:39that thicker cloud is going to be lasting through a lot of the day as well.
01:43The rain will likely turn a bit heavier through Saturday evening particularly
01:47across parts of the southwest of England and Wales where there could be some
01:51flooding issues through the evening but then by the morning the heaviest rain is
01:54expected to be spread across many areas of northern England into central parts
01:58of England and towards the Midlands as well as some areas of southern Scotland
02:02too. So there will be some heavy pulses of rain that will come and go through
02:06the course of Sunday but because we'll have a lot of cloud around we've got
02:09mild air wrapped in amongst this rain it's going to be a fairly mild start to
02:13the day on Sunday. The winds will be a little bit lighter on Sunday compared to
02:18Saturday but I think rain is much more likely for many areas of the UK or
02:22likely push up into more central areas of Scotland bringing a risk of some snow
02:26flurries as well and then it's into parts of Wales and across the Midlands
02:31where we see that rain linger into Sunday afternoon. Away from the main
02:34area of rain there will still be some sunny breaks but again these
02:38will allow some showers to break out but it's not going to be a total washout
02:43there will be some drier and brighter spells at times and in those dry and
02:48brighter spells it's still not going to feel too bad away from that easterly
02:51breeze on the east coast so in parts of the southwest again it'll feel fairly
02:55pleasant on Sunday afternoon but there is that risk of showers. The wet weather
03:00will push away to the south and east through the course of Monday bringing a
03:04much drier and brighter start to Tuesday. Don't forget to keep up to date with the
03:08forecast through the weekend and you can do that by subscribing to our YouTube
