00:00Good morning. For many areas this weekend will be quite a dry and bright one, but across
00:05the south there is some heavier rain due on Sunday. More on that in a moment, but out
00:10there this morning it will be feeling quite chilly, particularly across north and eastern
00:14areas of Scotland. There are a scattering of showers though across western coastal areas
00:19as well as across the south east coast too, and inland there could be some mist and fog.
00:24So not everywhere seeing a crisp start to the day, but there is still some early sunshine
00:28and that will last until lunchtime for many areas, particularly across the north and east.
00:34But as we head towards lunchtime, cloud will start to bubble up as the temperatures slowly
00:38start to pick up and that will allow some showers to bubble up as well. These could
00:42develop anywhere across the UK, but they should be fairly short lived and much lighter than
00:47the showers we saw through yesterday. In any sunshine it will be feeling fairly pleasant
00:52too. Temperatures are similar to yesterday's temperatures, however the winds are much lighter
00:56so that's why it will feel a little bit warmer than yesterday in any sunny spells.
01:01However, with clear skies, temperatures will fall away quite quickly tonight once again,
01:05so it's going to be another cold evening and a cold start to the day on Sunday. Quite a
01:10harsh frost developing, potentially some mist and fog once again, potentially some freezing
01:15fog in fact further north. However, notice we do have a band of rain arriving into the
01:19southwest through the early hours of Sunday. Away from that band of rain though it will
01:24be feeling quite chilly out there. Another risk of some icy stretches as well if we
01:29have got any wet surfaces by Sunday morning. Across the south that rain will become a little
01:34bit more dominant as the day progresses. There is still some uncertainty in exactly how far
01:39north this will affect, but anywhere south of the M4 corridor are likely to see some
01:43heavy rain through the day. Further north though it should stay dry and fairly bright
01:48through the day once any of that mist and fog does lift and clear and it should stay
01:52dry for many areas apart from across the far north of Scotland when we get a northerly wind
01:56developing through the afternoon. A few showers will pep up here so it will start to feel a bit
02:01chillier across the north. Elsewhere though across parts of southern Scotland into north
02:05Wales, northern England still feeling fairly pleasant if not a little spring like in the
02:09sunshine. Across the south though quite a different story with that wet weather persisting
02:13into Sunday evening as well. Should clear though through Monday to leave many areas with a cold
02:19but dry and bright start to the new working week. You can keep up to date with all the forecasts
02:24through the rest of this weekend by subscribing to our YouTube channel and I'll see you later.
