00:00Good morning. It's going to be another cloudy and mild day for many of us. There's also
00:04some heavy rain to come with rain warnings in force for some areas of England and Wales.
00:09But this morning, the heaviest rain is across many areas of Scotland, particularly across
00:13the southwest of Scotland. That's where we'll see some very heavy rain through the rest
00:16of the morning as well. Also, Northern Ireland seeing some heavy rain for the next few hours.
00:21Elsewhere, across many areas of England and Wales, the heaviest rain will have cleared
00:25through for now, but they'll still be feeling quite muggy and murky out there. Temperatures
00:29only as low as eleven or twelve degrees. This band of rain will push into parts of
00:34South Wales and many areas of Devon and Cornwall. That's where we've got some rain warnings
00:38in force for the afternoon. We'll also see some heavy rain across parts of the Midlands
00:42and we're quite sensitive to further heavy rainfall in these areas. So there'll probably
00:46be some spray on the roads, perhaps some travel delays in these areas ahead of this band of
00:51rain in the south and east, though it's quite a different story. It should stay largely
00:55dry throughout today. And because we have got such mild air, if we do see any sunny
01:00breaks in the cloud, temperatures will climb as high as 17 degrees. Also notice the far
01:06north of Scotland. The story changes quite a lot by this afternoon. It should turn much
01:10drier and perhaps a little brighter by the end of the day. The rain will push into the
01:16southeast through the evening, though some quite heavy bursts of rain to come through
01:21the final hours of Thursday here. Behind it, though, it should turn much clearer and
01:26drier for many areas, some clearer spells. It will be a slightly cooler night tonight.
01:31However, Friday is looking a much improved story for many of us. We've got a ridge of
01:35higher pressure building in, so that will bring some sunny spells through Friday. A
01:40lot of drier weather as well. It won't be entirely dry. There will still be a few isolated
01:44showers here and there, but the rain will be nowhere near as heavy as we're expecting
01:48through the course of today. So we'll be also feeling mild still. We've still got mild
01:52air, so highs around 15 or 14 degrees on Friday. And then as we head into the weekend, well,
01:59it's looking mild still, but we will see some further heavy rain. But if you want more details
