04 November - National weather forecast presented by Alex Deakin
Transcript
00:00Good morning. A wet start across parts of the south but something a bit brighter
00:04across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland through the day today. But in the
00:08south we do have this band of rain that's been moving in. Met Office yellow
00:12warning in place across parts of the south. There's a lot of spray and
00:15surface water on the roads. Obviously the ground saturated so extra rain is
00:19likely to cause further flooding problems. The rain is tracking northwards
00:23across the Midlands and into Northern England, North Wales where it'll kind of
00:27grind to a halt. In the south it'll brighten up through the morning but then
00:31the showers will get going. Some heavy lively showers zipping through on a
00:35brisk and gusty wind. In the rainy zone over parts of Lincolnshire, Yorkshire
00:41towards Lancashire, North Wales it's gonna feel pretty cold I suspect. It may
00:46be a dry start but once that rain sets in it lasts for most of the day. 7 or 8
00:50Celsius here. A few scattered showers coming into the east of Scotland but for
00:53most of Scotland and Northern Ireland as I mentioned dry and a bright day with
00:57some sunny spells there will be still some wet weather in Shetland. In the
01:01south while it won't rain all afternoon there'll be some brighter spells between
01:04the downpours. But when the Sun pops out we might squeak into the teens but it'll
01:09still feel cooler than that with a gusty wind and those heavy showers which keep
01:12on coming into this evening. So just bear that in mind if you are heading out it's
01:17likely to be fairly damp still across northeast England for this evening as
01:21well. So again if you're heading out to a bonfire but it won't be raining
01:24everywhere in between there'll be some drier weather and again for most of
01:28Scotland and Northern Ireland dry and fine although it will be turning cold in
01:31northern Scotland with those clearer skies. So again a pocket to a frost
01:36likely here for Sunday morning. The showers in the south should at least ease
01:40overnight but the rain in northeast England likely to still be around on
01:45Sunday morning. So a grey damp start here as I mentioned another pretty chilly one
01:50in northern Scotland two or three in Fort William and certainly rural spots
01:53getting down to freezing. So a fresh start here but again parts of Scotland
01:57having a fine sunny day on Sunday. We'll start with a cloud and still some
02:02outbreaks of rain tomorrow morning over parts of eastern England. I'm hopeful
02:05that will peter out gradually head out into the North Sea so may well cheer up
02:09come the afternoon. Further west come the afternoon well there'll be some bright
02:13spells but there will still be showers coming into western Scotland, Northern
02:17Ireland, Wales, North West England and South West England. The Midlands, South
02:21East England, East Anglia generally dry and bright through the course of
02:25tomorrow. And with a bit of sunshine the south coast could reach 14 Celsius
02:29mostly we're looking at 9 to 12 Celsius and feeling cooler on these western
02:33coasts with the breeze picking up. Still plenty going on then with the weather as
02:37we head into next week so do stay up to date with everything from the Met Office
02:42and watching on YouTube hit subscribe.
