00:00Hello, we've seen some exceptionally wet weather over the past couple of days, but it looks
00:05like something a little bit more settled is on the way as we head through the rest of
00:08the weekend. Low pressure still very much in charge through Saturday evening, but slowly
00:12clearing away towards the north as we head into Sunday, allowing a ridge of high pressure
00:16to develop across much of the UK into Monday. However, it doesn't last long, low pressure
00:20very much waiting in the wings as we head into the new working week, bringing some further
00:24spells of wet and windy weather. Back to the here and now though, and that heavy rain that
00:29we've seen across Scotland slowly clears its way towards the north overnight Saturday and
00:33into Sunday morning, leaving a much drier picture across much of the UK. Some showers
00:38pushing in across western coast as we head through in the early hours of Sunday morning,
00:42but many places staying dry with plenty of clear skies and some patchy mist and fog possible
00:47across parts of eastern England. Under those clear skies, a chillier night than we've seen
00:51recently, many places dropping down into the single figures, and parts of Scotland we could
00:54see a touch of frost possible through the early hours. So Sunday will start a much drier
01:00and brighter picture for most of us. Still some showers pushing in across those western
01:04coasts, but many places seeing a dry and bright start to the day. Plenty of sunshine as well
01:09as we head through the afternoon. Some of those showers perhaps pushing inland a little
01:12through Sunday afternoon, but many places should be staying dry. Still a little blustery
01:16across the very far north of Scotland, but under those clearer skies and those brighter
01:19skies, plenty of sunshine around and feeling really pleasant in that sunshine too. Highs
01:24of 15, maybe 16 degrees, and elsewhere temperatures generally around average for the time of year.
01:31As we go through Sunday evening, any of those showers, particularly across parts of Wales
01:34and southern parts of England, will slowly start to ease overnight, turning drier again
01:38with plenty of clear skies to start. Some high cloud pushing up from the south bringing
01:42some scattered showers across parts of Northern Ireland into Monday morning, but those clear
01:46skies persisting across much of Scotland, so turning chilly here again with a bit more
01:50of a widespread frost into Monday morning. So temperatures here dropping down into the
01:54low single figures, but under that cloud across the south perhaps just a little milder
01:58than we're seeing on Saturday night. So for many, Monday starts a dry picture. Sun showers
02:04continuing across parts of Northern Ireland, and that high cloud slowly pushes its way
02:08northwards as we head through the day on Monday, but it should be staying dry for most of us.
02:12The best of the sunshine across parts of Scotland through Monday afternoon, but later on Monday
02:16another band of rain pushes up from the south as we head into the new working week. Temperatures
02:22here similar to today, although perhaps feeling a little fresher with some slightly stronger
02:26winds, and elsewhere temperatures where we would expect them for the time of year. That
02:31unsettled picture that we're seeing on Monday is a set up for the rest of the week, but
02:35you can keep up to date with that forecast via our website, and don't forget to follow
02:38us on social media. Bye bye.
