00:00Hello, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. Low pressure still very

00:05much in charge of our weather over the next couple of days, with Storm Fergus being named

00:09by MetEar and slowly moving its way towards the UK through the rest of Sunday. We then

00:13see a very brief ridge of high pressure through the rest of Monday, bringing us something

00:17a little bit more settled before the next system arrives from the west through the rest

00:21of Monday and into Tuesday. Back to Sunday evening though, and rain continues to spread

00:26its way north and eastwards through the rest of the afternoon and into the evening, turning

00:30particularly heavy across northern parts of England and south-west Scotland as well. There's

00:34rain already falling on that very saturated ground, so we could see some localised flooding.

00:39Further south though, across England and Wales there will be some sunny spells, but with

00:43a strong south-westerly wind, that will feel a little bit colder than those temperatures

00:47seeing 12 or 14 degrees. Further north, temperatures still a little bit above average, around 7

00:51or 8 degrees, but under all that cloud and rain, definitely a chilly feeling day. Storm

00:56Fergus then tracks its way eastwards across the UK overnight Sunday and into Monday, bringing

01:01some further heavy rain and showers to northern parts of England. Again, this falling on that

01:05very saturated ground already. Strong winds as well associated with that, particularly

01:10for western parts of Wales through the Bristol Channel where we could see gusts up to 60

01:13miles an hour. Elsewhere though, generally turning a little bit drier through the early

01:17hours of Monday and temperatures across the south around 7 or 8 degrees, but across Scotland

01:21definitely turning a little bit colder here. We could see as low as minus 1 or minus 2

01:26and that could lead to some icy conditions, particularly across south-western parts of

01:30Scotland through Monday morning. Elsewhere though, Monday starts a much drier and brighter

01:35day for most of us. Plenty of sunshine as we head through the afternoon, some showers

01:39pushing in across northern parts of England and eastern Scotland as well, remaining a

01:42little cloudier with some showers, but generally with lighter winds and particularly for the

01:46southern half of the UK in that sunshine, it might be feeling a little more pleasant

01:50than recent days. Temperatures here around 10 or 12 degrees and further north, generally

01:54temperatures closer to average for the time of year. Through the rest of Monday, the next

02:00system arrives quite quickly from the west, spreading rain in across Northern Ireland

02:05and into parts of Northern England and Wales as well through Monday evening. Again, there's

02:09rain falling on that already very saturated ground, so we could see some localised flooding

02:13through Monday night. That wet weather continues into Tuesday, but you can find out more about
