00:00Hello, Thursday was a day of sunshine and showers for most of us, all due to an area

00:05of low pressure out to the north-east of the UK. This area of low pressure gradually moves

00:10its way towards Scandinavia over the next couple of days, with a brief ridge of high

00:14pressure as we head towards Saturday. But all eyes out to the north-west, another deep

00:18area of low pressure brings various frontal systems up towards the UK as we head through

00:23Sunday bringing further spells of wet and windy weather.

00:27Back to Thursday evening though, and any of those showers that we've seen through the

00:30day on Thursday gradually starting to ease, perhaps lingering for a time across the very

00:35far south coast and pushing inland a little through south-east England into the early

00:40hours of Friday morning. Those showers also lingering across parts of western Scotland,

00:44northern Ireland, into north Wales and northern England as well, but some clearer interludes

00:48between and under those clear skies we could see some patchy mist and fog. Turning a little

00:53bit chilly under those clear skies as well, we could see those temperatures dropping down

00:56to around 6 degrees, but where it remains cloudy at those temperatures holding up just

01:00a little higher. So it'll be a very damp start to the day in the south-east on Friday morning.

01:07Those showers gradually pushing away towards the south-east as we head through the morning,

01:10leaving a very dry and bright start to the day for most places. Those showers across

01:15the western coast gradually pushing inland, although easing, but further showers bubbling

01:20up as we head through the afternoon on Friday. Again, these could turn heavy at times, we

01:24could hear the odd rumble of thunder and there will be some sunny spells between those

01:28showers as well. Feeling a little bit cooler on Friday, particularly compared to Thursday

01:33as we've got a north-westerly wind, so headline max temperatures around 17 or 18 degrees.

01:40Those showers through Friday afternoon will gradually start to ease overnight on Friday.

01:45Plenty of clear skies around and remaining a much drier night than we've seen recently.

01:49Still a few showers persisting across the very far north-east of Scotland, but plenty

01:53of places seeing those clear skies overnight and some patchy mist and fog possible as we

01:57head into Saturday morning. A much chillier night on Friday night as well compared to

02:02what we've seen recently. Some rural spots could drop down to around 4 or 5 degrees and

02:07we could see some frost possible, particularly across Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland

02:11and Northern England as well. So to start on Saturday, a much chillier start than we've

02:15seen recently. Plenty of clear skies though will lead to a very bright start to the morning.

02:20Plenty of sunshine around, particularly across the east of the UK. Still a few isolated showers

02:25across the very far south-east and the north-east of Scotland as well, but it's all eyes out

02:30to the west. Cloud building as we head through the day, particularly across Northern Ireland,

02:34parts of Wales and into parts of western Scotland as well, as this band of rain pushes in from

02:39the west through Saturday afternoon and into Sunday. That rain will continue to push its
