00:00Hello. Fairly quiet weather conditions at the moment across the bulk of the UK, thanks

00:06to an area of high pressure that's been with us for a little while and stays with us for

00:11the next couple of days. However, there is a change to come. That's because of this set

00:15of weather fronts to the north-west of the UK, which will eventually make progress south-eastwards.

00:21But until then, for Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, much of the UK under a

00:26variable amount of clouds, some clear spells, a little bit of mist and fog developing as

00:30well through the early hours of Wednesday morning. Not a particularly cold night, certainly

00:36for the towns and cities, although we could see temperatures just about dipping into single

00:40figures in some more rural areas. And you will notice this area of thicker cloud with

00:46outbreaks of rain and also breezy conditions affecting the far north and north-west of

00:51Scotland. That will remain there for a time, but eventually start to make progress south

00:56and eastwards. But until then, it's more of the same for much of the UK on Wednesday.

01:02Plenty of cloud, just about thick enough in a few spots to produce the odd drizzly shower,

01:07but actually that will be the exception rather than the rule for most of us. It is another

01:11dry day, perhaps even a few glimpses of sunshine. And in that sunshine, feeling pleasantly warm

01:17with temperatures in the high teens, perhaps nudging into the low 20s. Meanwhile, still

01:22the north-west of Scotland underneath this area of cloud with outbreaks of rain. And

01:27that will become more persistent as Wednesday night progresses and into Thursday morning.

01:34That rain becoming more persistent and heavier and starting to make slow but sure progress

01:40south-eastwards as we go through the start of Thursday. Elsewhere though, it's another

01:45fairly similar looking night with variable amounts of clouds, mist and fog developing

01:50and the odd clearer spell. So for Thursday daytime, this weather front does gradually

01:55start to move south-eastwards, so affecting eastern and southern parts of Scotland, parts

02:01of northern England, clearing eventually parts of Northern Ireland and the north-west of

02:06Scotland. And here it will become cooler and fresher with some sunny spells but also some

02:11blustery showers. And meanwhile, to the south and east of this weather front, it remains

02:17fairly similar once again with variable amounts of clouds, a little bit of brightness and

02:22temperatures around the high teens to low 20s. As we head through the very latter part

02:28of the week, we continue to see this weather front moving its way south and eastwards,

02:33so that rain pushing into parts of the Midlands and eventually the south-east of England.
