00:00Hello. Dry, hot and sunny is the story for just about all of us throughout the rest of
00:07this week and into the weekend. And it's all thanks to this huge area of high pressure
00:12dominating the weather right the way across the UK, with one small exception, the far
00:16north and northwest of Scotland, where this weather front is always close by, just bringing
00:21some slightly thicker cloud and thick enough for a few outbreaks of light rain or drizzle.
00:26But for the vast majority of us, it is a dry picture with plenty of sunshine. That's sunshine
00:32a little bit hazy at times across some northern parts of the UK, but for the bulk of us is
00:37blue skies all the way. Tonight, it will be a warm one and temperatures both by day and
00:42by night will be climbing over the course of the rest of this week and into the weekend.
00:47So temperatures probably peaking around Friday or Saturday, depending on where you are. But
00:52you will notice the night's becoming a little bit more difficult for sleeping. So we start
00:57Wednesday on a warm note, but also a bright one. Lots of sunshine right the way across
01:02the UK. Still this weather front bringing some slightly thicker cloud to the far north
01:07and northwest. Again, the small chance of a few outbreaks of light rain or drizzle here,
01:12but no rain in the forecast for the bulk of the UK, as I said, right the way through the
01:16rest of the week and into the weekend. The earliest sign of anything in the way of precipitation
01:22is perhaps Sunday when a few thundery showers are possible. Back to Wednesday then and temperatures
01:28will be higher than they were on Tuesday, with high 20s possibly nudging into the low
01:3330s for parts of England and Wales. It will feel very hot, especially in that sunshine.
01:39So as we move through Wednesday night, it's another clear and dry one just about across
01:44the whole of the UK. And as a result, it will be a warm one once again as those temperatures
01:50and humidity start to climb as we head through the rest of this week. So it will be a little
01:54bit more tricky for sleeping on Wednesday night into Thursday. We could also see a little
01:59bit of coastal mist and low cloud developing across parts of East Anglia, also parts of
02:04Northern Ireland. But it should burn away fairly rapidly once that strong sunshine gets
02:08going on Thursday morning. Then on Thursday, this is when our extreme heat warning comes
02:14into force. An amber warning covering much of England and eastern parts of Wales. This
02:19isn't exclusively where the heat will be. It will be hot across the board really. But
02:23this is where the really exceptional temperatures will be for quite some period of time. So
02:28that warning is valid through Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can see the temperatures
02:35well into the low 30s by Thursday afternoon and continuing to climb day on day. So that
02:41extreme heat amber warning, as I said, valid for much of England and parts of Wales through
02:47the rest of the week and into the weekend. And you can keep up to date with that warning
02:52and of course the rest of our forecasts by logging onto our website, downloading our
02:56app or following us on social media. Bye for now.
