00:00We've been in a blocked pattern of weather for at least two weeks or so, and the next
00:06few days weather-wise will look very similar to the past few days.
00:09High pressure sits to the north of the UK, delivering a cool easterly breeze, bringing
00:15with it more cloud from time to time, and then subtle changes through the latter part
00:19of the working week.
00:21This is Storm Oscar here, which will increase the wind speed across more southern and southwestern
00:26parts of the country on Thursday, turning rather gusty here, and then eventually on
00:31Friday the air turns even warmer and more humid, with an increasing chance of some thundery
00:36showers through the latter part of Friday, but certainly Saturday and into Sunday.
00:42Now through Tuesday evening, it's sparkling outside towards the west as more cloud slowly
00:47encroaches yet again from the east.
00:50A keen breeze along the coastline of East Anglia down towards Channel Coast, and you
00:54can see here clearer skies across western Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:58The cloud will come and go across Scotland inland towards the east, but we could see
01:03temperatures as low as around 5 to 7 degrees Celsius across the glens of Scotland.
01:08So a bit of a cool start to the day here, even with the odd patch of grass frost where
01:13you see some clearer skies for any length of time, and a rather cloudy morning across
01:17much of Scotland, England and Wales, away from the west Northern Ireland yet again seeing
01:22a fine start.
01:23Now the cloud will break up and push back towards the east coast quite readily on Wednesday.
01:28It's going to be a warmer day all round, and again along this east coast you'll see more
01:32of a breeze, keeping temperatures lower here, but even so there will be some brighter skies
01:37coming through.
01:38The cloud will come and go across the north and the east of Scotland, and temperatures,
01:42the highest values will be towards the west, coming in around 22, 23 degrees Celsius, even
01:47slightly higher across the western and southern part of Wales.
01:52Now as we head through Wednesday evening and overnight, pretty much we'll see a similar
01:56situation as that cloud drifts in from the east coast.
01:59So again, a blanket of cloud, keeping temperatures up, but where you see some holes in the cloud
02:04across Scotland, it's going to be a chilly end to the night.
02:08And that leads into, yet again, a sunny start to the day across this western half of the
02:14country.
02:15But notice a stronger wind across the east as well as the south, and this will bump over
02:20the moors, causing some gustiness for the west country as we head through the day.
02:25But a bright day, sunny spells, high UV levels, high levels of pollen, very high towards the
02:30south, as temperatures climb very nicely into the 20s away from this east coast.
02:35Here's your outlook through Friday, here's your cities list.
02:38Yet again we'll see some fine conditions, some sunny spells, and feeling even warmer
02:43across more southern areas.
02:44And that pretty much sets the scene for the weekend, where we'll see an increasing chance
02:49of some thundery showers as the air turns more humid and very warm.
02:53So through the weekend, temperatures, particularly across England and Wales, could climb to the
02:57mid, if not the high 20s, and turning warmer across Scotland and Northern Ireland with
03:01some milder nights.
03:02Bye bye.
