00:00Hello there welcome to a weather update from the Met Office. Through the next few
00:04days it's mostly showers with some sunshine before we see more rain just
00:09intrude from the west. Now through Wednesday your bigger picture this area
00:14of low pressure brought rain overnight into Wednesday morning but it skirts
00:18very quickly as it deepens towards Denmark and then we look towards the
00:22west where we've got low pressure just dumbbelling around but it will deliver
00:25more clouds and some showery bursts of rain later on Thursday across western
00:30parts of the country as a ridge extends across the southeast bringing with it
00:35some warm and moist air and that means Friday will be locally hot towards the
00:40southeast. Let's pick up on that rain through Tuesday evening it turns heavy
00:44for a time as it gradually pushes towards East Anglia clipping Lincolnshire
00:49the East Midlands the southeast and we will see some moderate if not heavy
00:53bursts and the winds will pick up as it slowly clears towards the North Sea
00:58through the early hours of the morning. Elsewhere a little showery rain for
01:01eastern Scotland a few showers dotted around across Wales northwest England
01:06and a keen breeze delivering a few showers down towards the west country as
01:09well but under clearer skies towards the northwest temperatures dipping down to
01:14single figures a cooler start to the day come Wednesday morning. So through
01:19Wednesday morning it's a bit messy but even so there will be some brighter
01:22skies around certainly the sunshine would trigger some showers through the
01:25morning into the afternoon now these will be fairly slow moving with the risk
01:29of thunder and hail particularly towards the east but some sunshine coming through
01:33as well so a scattered affair when it comes to showers but we will see one or
01:38two heavy ones if you catch a heavy one the winds could turn a little gusty
01:42temperatures then typically a notch up on Tuesday 17 to 19 across Scotland and
01:47Northern Ireland and then we reach around 21 22 23 degrees Celsius across
01:52central and southern parts of England and Wales. Those showers will continue
01:57through Wednesday evening certainly that would be the case towards the north as
02:00well as the northeast and then overnight some quieter weather arrives with again
02:05some clearer skies bit of a breeze across Irish Sea coast as well as the
02:10western side of Scotland the far north of Northern Ireland and here again we'll
02:15see a feed of those showers a few could just push in across Wales as well as the
02:19West country but clearer skies so we start the day on Thursday across more
02:23eastern areas so some sunshine here through the day yet again there will be
02:27a chance of a scattering of showers some sunshine in between and then notice
02:33towards the west this area of low pressure brings with it some stronger
02:38winds and also some outbreaks of rain later in the day on Thursday before that
02:44though you will see sunshine and showers but the cloud will continue to
02:47thicken across Northern Ireland and Western Scotland for England and Wales
02:51it's a mostly fine afternoon yes you'll see some showers but also some sunshine
02:55around and temperatures rising even further so feeling warm in that
03:00sunshine and as I said locally hot in the south and east as we head into
03:04Friday
