00:00Hello there. A quieter day all round on Thursday with some sunshine, although it
00:06will be a chilly start. Still some showers in the forecast, particularly
00:10along the coast, but they'll be fewer than the last few days. Now on Wednesday
00:15a driving wind delivering showers across the north as well as the northwest of
00:19Scotland, the far north of Northern Ireland and Trim as well as Derry and
00:23Irish Seacoast, particularly for Pembrokeshire as well as the north coast
00:26of Cornwall and Devon. Along the other side, yes, driving wind here as well for
00:31the North Sea. We'll see showers just clipping Caithness, Aberdeenshire, down
00:35towards Northumberland along the coastline, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire as
00:40well as East Anglia. Perhaps a few just clipping the far south and east of Kent.
00:44Now here temperatures will hold up but inland it's going to be a chilly night
00:49so expect a frost particularly across southern Scotland as well as northern
00:53England, perhaps even with some mist and fog patches to start the day. And even
00:58just away from the city centre of Glasgow you could see a frost here, so a
01:01chilly start for Scotland. Showers continue for Northern Ireland, particularly
01:05towards the north as well as the east, running down the Irish Sea towards Devon
01:10as well as Cornwall inland. Though some clearer skies, a fine start to the
01:14morning on Thursday with some brighter skies, but showers continue with that
01:18brisk wind coming in from the north across eastern counties of England and
01:23they will continue through the morning into the afternoon. Inland it's going to
01:27be a dry day, a pleasant day, lots of sunshine and we lose the shower risk
01:32across much of Scotland as well as more cloud just pushes in from the far
01:37northwest with some patchy rain arriving across the Outer Hebrides later. For the
01:41central belt of Scotland down towards northern England, East Wales, the middle
01:45and central southern England, the best of the sunshine here but showers will
01:48continue particularly where you see that wind along the coast through the
01:52afternoon. Temperatures struggling a little bit around 8, 9, 10 degrees
01:56Celsius, perhaps double figures further south. Now through Thursday evening and
02:00overnight a fairly widespread frost inland yet again. Again those showers
02:05just peppering the coast of the east as well as the west. Inland it will be dry
02:10and then we will see more clouds across the far north of Scotland, some patchy
02:14rain here for the northwest as well, particularly on the upslopes. Temperatures
02:18not as low here and certainly through the day on Friday with a ridge
02:21coming in from the west, many areas seeing some dry conditions as
02:26temperatures rise to around 11, 12 degrees Celsius. Not a bad day although
02:31there will always be more clouds and some dampness in the air across the far
02:34north and northwest. All change though on Saturday. Gales for the north as well as
02:38the west of Scotland, outbreaks of rain which will sink their way southwards. A
02:42breezy day wherever you are but temperatures slightly higher yet again.
02:45So here's your outlook as we head into the weekend. Yes it is turning windy but
02:49it will be less cold with some rain in the forecast. Bye bye.
