00:00Hello there. Chilly for most, bright for some over the next 24 hours, and certainly on Wednesday
00:07some of us will see some sunshine, but coastal showers always an issue, particularly with
00:12a cold blustery wind. Backtrack to Tuesday evening, the wind has changed direction coming
00:18in from the north, so in the firing line for those showers, the north and north west of
00:23Scotland, the far north of Northern Ireland, Irish Sea coast as well, particularly northern
00:27and western areas of Wales, down towards the north coast of Devon as well as Cornwall.
00:32We do also have a feature just running down the east coast, anywhere from Lothian down
00:36towards Berwick, eventually reaching the north east of England, more clouds and some showery
00:41bursts of rain here, and showers always across the far north with a keen breeze, but inland,
00:47particularly across southern parts of England and Wales, we will see temperatures dip very
00:51low, so even the chance of a frost, with some fog patches where the winds fall light. First
00:57thing then on Wednesday morning, bright across the central belt of Scotland, showers further
01:02north, more cloud across the north east of England, down towards East Yorkshire as well
01:07as East Anglia, with some showery bursts of rain, showers pushing inland across Northern
01:12Ireland, and a lot running down that western side of Wales, down towards the north coast
01:17of Devon and Cornwall, Somerset as well, seeing one or two. But inland, despite the fact we
01:22could see some mist and fog patches, and it will be a cold start, central southern England
01:26not doing too badly at all, with some sunshine, and sunshine elsewhere through the day, north
01:31west England, the central belt of Scotland, southern Scotland, but always a lot of showers
01:36coming in across the far north with that strong wind, and showery rain just continues to slip
01:41down across Lincolnshire as well as East Anglia, more cloud for the midlands for a time, and
01:47we could see a few showers further south. In the south, in any sunshine, 11 or 12 degrees
01:52celsius, 8 or 9 for Edinburgh as well as Glasgow, and for Belfast coming in around
01:5710 degrees celsius, but watch out, you could even see a few showers here. And then through
02:02Wednesday evening, showers continue for a time, the wind will be racing down the North
02:08Sea, so again we could see some showers just pushing inland as we head through the evening
02:13and overnight into Thursday. But clearer skies again across many areas, with the risk of
02:18a frost, and a ridge of high pressure extends across the country through Thursday as well
02:24as Friday, so a lot of bright and dry weather to be had, although it will be chilly. Again,
02:30the chance of some showers running in across coastal districts as more cloud then arrives
02:34across the far north of Scotland through Thursday into Friday, with some Apache rain, and then
02:39subtle changes in air temperature through Friday into the weekend. We gain some warmth
02:44or mild conditions, we lose that really chilly air, but with that always more in the way
02:49of clouds, and also some outbreaks of rain, particularly for the north west.
