00:00Well, we've still got a lot of cloud across the U.K., further heavy rain over the next
00:06few days and that's all down to an area of low pressure. In fact, another area of low
00:11pressure moves in through Sunday night and into Monday to give some heavy rain across
00:15parts of England and Wales. The good news is though that moves out of the way as we
00:19head towards the middle of the week. High pressure starts to build in and settle things
00:24down for a time at least and there are signs it could turn warmer as well. For the rest
00:29of Sunday, rather cloudy across much of the U.K. There'll be some bright or sunny spells
00:35but a scattering of showers overall. Most places will be dry. Winds generally lighter
00:39than Saturday as well. So if you do stay dry and see some glimmers of sunshine, it may
00:44just feel a touch warmer. A little bit breezy still towards the far northwest of the U.K.
00:49Here showers a little bit more frequent. And in terms of temperatures, generally similar
00:54on face value. The high teens to low 20s but just a little bit drier and those winds a
00:59bit lighter. It may just feel a bit warmer if you're outside for the rest of Sunday.
01:04However, thicker cloud and rain does push into parts of Wales and the West Country as
01:09we move into the evening time. This rain turning heavy as we move into the early hours, particularly
01:15across northern and western parts of Wales and then later on into northern England. A
01:19Metovius rain forewarning coming into force here at midnight, meaning there could be some
01:24localised disruption as we head into Monday morning. Drier conditions, some clearer spells
01:30across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland, but even here some showers. And with the wind
01:34starting to come in from the south with this area of low pressure, we will see temperatures
01:39generally holding up 14, 15, 16 Celsius for many, perhaps a touch lower under any clearer
01:45spells across the far north west. So it means a very wet start to Monday morning, particularly
01:50across England and Wales. This rain only slowly pushing north and east with some uncertainty
01:55with the exact detail where the heaviest rain will be. But most likely northern England
02:00down into north and western parts of Wales will see some hefty downpours. Cloudy elsewhere
02:05with showery outbreaks of rain, but it does start to brighten up later on in the day.
02:10Scotland and Northern Ireland here seeing a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers.
02:14Some of the showers again could be heavy at times, perhaps thundery. And in terms of
02:18temperatures, well, very similar again, high teens to low 20s, perhaps 23 or 24 where we
02:23do start to see some bright spells. It will be quite a humid feeling day despite some
02:29lower temperatures in places. And then a quick look at the week ahead. High pressure does
02:34start to build in as we head towards the middle of the week. Temperatures rising as well,
02:38but that may lead to some thunderstorms as we head towards next weekend. See you again
02:43soon.
