00:00Hello, it's been a dry and sunny Wednesday but it doesn't look set to last as we see
00:04an area of low pressure bringing some wet and windy weather, particularly to Northern
00:08Ireland and parts of Scotland. This area of low pressure will move away towards the North
00:12East as we head through Thursday but brings a trailing frontal system across much of the
00:17UK through Friday and into Saturday. All eyes out to South West as we head through Saturday
00:22with further showery conditions pushing up from the South West and perhaps something
00:26a little warmer as well. Back to Wednesday evening though and that frontal system will
00:31bring some really wet and windy weather to Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland through
00:35Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning and some very strong winds too. Coastal gales
00:39possible those winds up to perhaps 60mph at those exposed coasts. Further south that wet
00:45weather continues across northern parts of Wales and into northern parts of England as
00:49well but further south plenty of clear skies, perhaps some mist and fog patches and some
00:54rural spots perhaps dropping down into the high single figures. Further north across
00:58Scotland though a much milder night than we saw last night, those temperatures generally
01:02holding up into the double figures. So a bit of a milder start across Scotland through
01:07tomorrow but those showers continue to push in as we head through into Thursday afternoon,
01:12remaining quite breezy particularly across the very far north but elsewhere those winds
01:15gradually starting to ease. Across that central swathe of the UK that rain persisting through
01:20much of the day perhaps turning heavy across the high ground of Wales and northern England
01:24but further south it will be another dry day, plenty of sunshine around and still feeling
01:29warm in that sunshine too. Highs of 23, 24, perhaps 25 degrees. However for northern Scotland
01:35those temperatures generally closer to average for the time of year. As we head through Thursday
01:40evening that frontal system remains mostly across the central part of the UK. Gradually
01:45starts to move its way northwards through the evening and into Friday morning but a
01:49very cloudy and grey evening for many here. Further south plenty of clear skies again
01:54so perhaps some patchy mist and fog. As we head into Friday that frontal system gradually
01:59starts to push its way northwards as we head through the day on Friday, remaining very
02:04wet across Northern Ireland and into southern parts of Scotland. Further south though for
02:08England and parts of Wales generally a much drier day, plenty of sunshine around, perhaps
02:13the odd isolated shower but still feeling very warm in that sunshine too. Highs of 24
02:18or 25 degrees but further north across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland those temperatures
02:23just a little bit cooler here. As we head towards the weekend those showery conditions
02:28pushing up from the south could perhaps merge into some longer spells of rain and we could
02:33see something a little bit warmer too, although not quite as warm as we saw last week. But
02:37you can keep up to date with that forecast via our website and don't forget to follow
02:40us on social media. Bye bye.
