00:00Dry and very warm and humid for the majority but that heat and humidity also
00:05likely just like yesterday to spark some big thunderstorms. This is the satellite
00:10and radar from yesterday. One huge storm developed over parts of central England
00:15it's been drifting its way further westwards kind of breaking up a little
00:18bit but still providing some showers across Northern Ireland through the
00:21morning and then this zone here again across Wales and the Midlands parts of
00:25Northern England where we're most likely to see thunderstorms breaking out this
00:29afternoon but also parts of Northern and Western Scotland along with Northern
00:33Ireland could see some torrential downpours. So we do have Met Office
00:37warnings in place as I said not everywhere seeing these downpours but
00:41where they do occur a lot of rain falling in a relatively short space of
00:45time certainly could cause some problems on the roads a lot of spray a lot of
00:49surface water but potentially also some flooding issues as well. Much of the East
00:54staying dry fine and sunny some of the coasts a bit murky and quite cloudy
00:57across the southwest and not as hot here but elsewhere in the sunshine
01:01across central and eastern England, southern Scotland temperatures likely to get into
01:05the high 20s perhaps even into the low 30s as you would expect some of the
01:09coast will be a little bit cooler than that. Through this evening and overnight
01:13still a potential for some nasty thunderstorms over Wales, Northern
01:16England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Slowly they fade through the evening so
01:21most places will become dry overnight with largely clear skies a little bit
01:26cooler maybe than last night across the east in particular but for most it will
01:31still be a pretty warm and sticky night quite humid with temperatures holding up
01:35in the mid or even high teens in places particularly warm across parts of the
01:39west. Into Tuesday and there is still the possibility one or two showers even
01:45thunderstorms particularly come the afternoon and mostly over western
01:49Scotland and Northern Ireland. For the vast majority it's going to be a fine
01:53sunny day on Tuesday again some coast a little misty a little murky and the
01:57coast will be a little cooler but as I say there's those thunderstorms breaking
02:01out again over western Scotland and especially the western half of Northern
02:05Ireland. Again not everywhere seeing them but where they do occur they could cause
02:09some disruption so we do have our Met Office yellow warning in place. Another
02:13very warm one, a hot one in spots temperatures getting up over 30 degrees
02:17Celsius again coasts will be a little cooler probably a warmer feeling day in
02:21southwest England and southwest Wales compared to today where there should be
02:26more sunshine tomorrow compared to today. Still those thundery showers across the
02:30northwest rumbling on into Tuesday evening but again they'll tend to fade
02:35overnight most places becoming clear and the outlook is for more clear skies and
02:40not as many heavy thundery showers for the rest of this week. Most places I
02:44suspect will be dry and with lots of sunshine as well. Very warm but not quite
02:49as warm I'm going to lose some of the humidity temperatures dropping down a
02:53touch but still likely to get to the mid to high 20s. Nights becoming a little
02:58more comfortable but only a little bit. UV levels will of course be high
03:02throughout this week so don't forget the sunscreen enjoy the sunshine safely if
03:06you can and make sure you're following us right across social media.
