00:00Hello. It may be the season of mist and mellow fruitfulness, but the week ahead is shaping
00:07up to be a week of two halves. We currently have high pressure across us, but that error
00:13of high pressure is slowly slipping eastwards into the continent as we move towards midweek.
00:20But currently, the error of high pressure is helping to keep skies largely clear across
00:25England and Wales. We have got a little bit more in the way of cloud across Northern Ireland
00:30and Scotland, and we do have a few showers across this part of the world. Overnight temperatures
00:37widely dropping into mid or low single figures, especially across the south, and that's going
00:43to allow for widespread grass frost, especially in some rural spots. Further north, those
00:49temperatures holding up just a fraction. So it's a bright but dry start to Monday morning.
00:56A little bit more in the way of cloud across Northern Ireland and Scotland will offer a
01:01few showers, and some showers will start to fringe in across the far south and east during
01:06the course of the day. But it's a slightly warmer day, especially across southern areas
01:12with temperatures reaching into double figures. Although further north, these values are still
01:17widely below the seasonal average for mid-October. So as we move our way into Monday evening,
01:26winds will start to strengthen across the very far north of Scotland and also across
01:30the south and west, largely fine and dry in between. And that strengthening wind is really
01:40a result of this error of low pressure, which is moving up from the south. And that will
01:44bring a significant change with heavy outbreaks of rain pushing across all areas by the end
01:50of the week. And that rain will become locally heavy and persistent, particularly across
01:56north east Scotland by the end of the week. And we do have ourselves a yellow weather
02:01warning covering that part of the world. Stay tuned for the latest updates and bye for now.
