00:00The cool and showery weather will continue through Wednesday again there
00:04will be plenty of heavy downpours across the country low pressure continues to
00:08dominate the scene it is exiting up to the northeast but it's a slow old
00:14process and around it bands of showers will continue to feed in and there'll be
00:18a fairly brisk breeze blowing as well the isobars reasonably close together
00:22that means the showers will tend to zip through and you'll never be too far away
00:26from something a little bit drier and brighter but some heavy downpours during
00:29Tuesday across northern Scotland will only slowly fizzle through the evening
00:33and outbreaks of rain will cross Northern Ireland through the night and
00:36into parts of northern England and southern Scotland by dawn a good chunk
00:40of England and Wales will actually become dry overnight with decent clear
00:45spells temperatures will hold up mostly in the teens 13 or 14 in most towns and
00:49cities to start Wednesday we should start with a bit more sunshine certainly
00:54over the Midlands much of eastern and southern England but there'll be showers
00:58elsewhere lots of cloud initially over northwest England and southern Scotland
01:02plenty more showers to come into northern Scotland bit more of a breeze
01:05blowing here on Wednesday which means as I said the showers will move through but
01:09there'll be lots of them developing to widely over Northern Ireland and across
01:14England and Wales nowhere immune but perhaps a bit more scattered here so a
01:18better chance of some lengthier spells of sunshine especially during the
01:22afternoon perhaps on the south coast of Wales or the south coast of England but
01:26where we do see showers they could be on the heavy side even though they may
01:30not last all that long there's enough of a breeze to keep the fresh feel even
01:35when the sun is out temperatures mostly high teens low 20s so for most a touch
01:40below average for the time of year and it certainly feels cooler doesn't it
01:43when the showers come along of which they'll still be plenty during Wednesday
01:46evening so still again a lot of spray surface water on the roads suddenly
01:51getting caught in a downpour but again for most of England and Wales the
01:55showers fade during the evening time in fact many places becoming dry to start
02:00Thursday so a better chance of a bit more blue sky at least to begin with the
02:04clouds will bubble up on Thursday but there won't be as many showers still
02:08some and again perhaps some heavy ones especially in eastern parts of England
02:11and Scotland during the afternoon but further west a much better chance of a
02:15dry afternoon with some lengthier spells of sunshine and the breezes will be a
02:20little bit lighter as well so although temperatures still only high teens low
02:2420s it will probably feel a bit warmer when the sun's out on Thursday and as I
02:29said there should be more of that sunshine generally it'll turn quite cool
02:33quite quickly on Thursday evening under increasingly clear skies the showers
02:37should fade away but after something of a dry day on Thursday all eyes are then
02:43out west the low pressure that's bringing the showers the next couple of
02:46days drifting away but here come not one but two more lows and these look like
02:51churning things up for the weekend this one in particular if it develops as it
02:55could do sporting a lot of isobar so some gusty winds with this one as it
02:59comes in during Friday and lingering into the weekend that could bring a
03:03spell of quite nasty weather wet and windy conditions for some something
03:07we're tracking very closely we're tracking it because developments depend
03:12on the exact position of the jet stream high up in the atmosphere it's driving
03:16to the south across the middle of the Atlantic and picking up these areas of
03:20low pressure and they kind of merge into one but exactly how they develop will
03:25determine the intensity of that low pressure as it comes across during
03:29Friday and Saturday so as I said something we'll be keeping a very close
03:32eye on do keep up to date with the forecast particularly got plans for this
03:36weekend's I'll talk more in detail about the developments in the Met Office deep
03:41dive that's exclusive to YouTube so make sure you subscribe to our YouTube
03:45channel I'll be more details on that on there
