00:00Hello again. There'll be further heavy showers in many places this weekend but they'll be
00:05fairly unevenly distributed. Some places will get slow moving downpours, shower after shower
00:10after shower. Other places will see a bit more sunshine coming through and actually
00:16long dry interludes. Low pressure response, well at the moment that's going to stick around
00:21through the next few days. It is eventually going to fill on top of the UK but for now
00:27it's a fairly active low. It's allowing the cloud to bubble up and for these beefy shower
00:32clouds to develop. Showers will ease as daytime temperatures fall overnight and clear spells
00:39will develop in places but thicker cloud and some more heavy and prolonged rain pushes
00:45back into Wales, western parts of England by the end of the night whilst showers continue
00:50to affect much of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. A breezy night in places especially
00:54towards the south with temperatures staying up at 13-15C and it's going to be a bright
01:01start in places, central and eastern areas in particular on Saturday morning. But western
01:06England, Wales, a wet start here. This initial band of rain pushes east and it breaks up
01:11into showers whilst showers generally develop elsewhere so by the afternoon we're back into
01:16that bright spells, heavy showers regime. The showers moving along briskly enough in
01:23the south with the wind coming out from the west but in the north closer to that area
01:29of low pressure once more the showers will be slow moving. The risk of some torrential
01:33downpours for parts of Northern Ireland, western Scotland into north-west England, parts of
01:38Wales and again where we get a lot of these showers, well we're likely to see some disruption
01:44with tricky driving conditions on the roads, a lot of spray, surface water as well as the
01:49risk of localised flooding but these sort of things are highly variable from place to
01:54place. There'll still be some sunny spells coming through for example for south-west
01:58England later in the afternoon. North-east Scotland seeing brighter skies and predominantly
02:02dry weather with an easterly airflow coming in from the North Sea although it will feel
02:06a bit cooler here. In the sunny spells elsewhere low 20s possible but obviously that temperature
02:12will be dependent on how many showers we get coming through. Into the evening on Saturday
02:16the showers continue through central areas whilst it's a little drier in the south. In
02:20the far north just a clump of rain there to watch out for from the North Sea into north-east
02:25Scotland. But either way the night time on Saturday is going to be mild with 14 or 15
02:31degrees below as we wake up on Sunday. And then Sunday more of the same effectively still
02:38low pressure in charge, still showers or longer spells of rain. The greatest risk of these
02:42showers again for parts of southern Scotland into Northern Ireland, Northern England, parts
02:47of Wales. But either side I think a better chance of some sunshine and longer spells
02:52where we avoid the showers for southern parts of the UK. The far north of Scotland as well.
02:58It's still breezy in the south, it's still on the cool side, temperatures generally 18
03:01to 22 Celsius but those showers are ever so slightly easing later in the weekend. There'll
03:09still be showers around on Monday, still the risk of some heavy downpours but by Tuesday
03:14with that low pressure filling many places turning drier and brighter. Follow us on social
03:19media and we'll keep you updated as always. Bye bye.
