00:00Hello again. Another very warm day across some parts of the UK. More hazy sunshine and
00:06offer again for the majority. But we have seen a few thunderstorms and we may well see
00:11a few more developing through the rest of today and also in places during tomorrow.
00:17Here's the bigger picture. You can see quite a lot of clouds streaming up from the southwest
00:21and the radar showing we've already seen some heavy showers across southwest England just
00:26grazing into parts of South Wales. Very hit and miss. But where we are seeing the rain,
00:31it is pretty heavy. Some flashes of lightning, some rumbles of thunder mixed in too. And
00:35just ahead of that zone, we could just spark one or two heavy, possibly thundery showers
00:40over the Midlands, maybe southeast England too, possibly also for Northern Ireland. But
00:44for much of the North Midlands, Northern England, North Wales, East Anglia and all points further
00:49north, it's fine, warm and sunny, with the main exception being parts of the North Sea
00:54coast from northeast England to eastern Scotland, where that half fret sea mist and fog persists.
01:02And that has a big effect on the temperatures as well on the coast. Ten, eleven degrees
01:05at best. But you don't have to come too far inland before you see temperatures into the
01:09teens. This is the warmest slot, though. I suspect the North Midlands down to the southeast
01:15of England, up to northwest England. Twenty seven, twenty eight is possible here with
01:19more cloud in the southwest. It is quite a bit cooler than it was yesterday, but with
01:23some hazy sunshine, we could still easily get over 20 Celsius. A continued risk then
01:28through the evening of a few scatters, but heavy thundery showers drifting into North
01:32Wales, Northern Ireland and eventually perhaps into parts of Northern England. Still very
01:36much hit and miss, not everywhere catching one. But where they do occur, they could be
01:41pretty lively elsewhere. It's a largely dry night to get a bit misty and murky, especially
01:46around the coast in the northwest. But it's going to be really quite a warm night across
01:51much of southern England, central and south Wales. Temperatures again holding up in the
01:56mid teens for most. So a warm start to another warm day on Thursday, but it won't be quite
02:01as sunny. So temperatures perhaps not as high as they have been. Certainly a cloudier day
02:06for northern England, southern Scotland, with still a few showers here and there. Further
02:10south, there's just the chance of one or two breaking out through the afternoon. But most
02:14places will just brighten up quite a bit and there will be quite a bit of warm sunshine
02:18by the end of the afternoon. Temperatures won't be as high, as I said, for most places.
02:24We're looking at a degree or so lower, but still above average and still widely over
02:2820 Celsius. And one place that will be noticeably warmer with a change in wind direction, East
02:33Anglia, where we could see highs of 27 or 28 Celsius. So it will be a warmer day here
02:38against some of those North Sea coast, particularly Aberdeenshire coast and around the Northern
02:43Ireland staying quite misty and murky. And as a result, it will be quite a bit cooler.
02:48One or two scattered showers then around on Thursday evening. But for most, it's a
02:52fine end to the day with plenty of sunshine as we head into Friday, increasing risk of
02:56seeing further thunderstorms coming up from the south. But apart from that on Friday and
03:01indeed into the weekend, many places perhaps not quite as hot as Wednesday, but still dry
03:06and bright with quite a bit more sunshine to be had through the rest of this week. More
03:10details on that, of course, if you follow us on social media.
