00:00Hi there, we're set to see a change to some warmer weather over the course of this Easter week,
00:06but before we get there, there is a rather chilly night to come.
00:10Showers gradually easing off for most locations but persisting through the night for the Highlands
00:14of Scotland, Orkney and Shetland where they could still be wintry. Underneath the clearing skies
00:20though temperatures will fall quite quickly to low single figures for towns and cities,
00:24a frost developing in rural spots as well. So it will be a cold start to Sunday morning,
00:29but a bright one as well with a decent amount of sunshine coming through.
00:33The showers in the far north gradually easing off through the day, though still feeling rather
00:38cold here with the air coming down from the Arctic. However, it will start to turn cloudier
00:43in the west, particularly for Northern Ireland where we could see some outbreaks of rain into
00:47the afternoon. Turning breezier here as well but the winds coming in from the south which is a
00:53warmer direction and means that southern areas of the UK could see highs of 13 or 14 degrees on
00:58Sunday. That cloud and rain spilling through the rest of the UK over the course of Sunday evening
01:05and into Monday morning, the warmer air associated with it also progressing north eastwards. And
01:12taking a look at the bigger picture through the week, we can see as that low pressure centre
01:16moves eastwards, it will bring in that warmer air from the south so by the time we get to the
01:22middle of the week, many areas seeing temperatures climb from where they have been of late.
01:28So into Monday and Tuesday, temperatures climbing to near if not above average for some locations
01:34but since it's all due to a low pressure centre, it will be rather unsettled at times. There is
01:39sign though that it could turn drier towards the end of the week so to stay up to date with all of
01:44that, make sure you're following us on social media and we will see you again here soon. Bye!
