00:00Hello, and welcome to your latest update from the Met Office.
00:03There's mixed fortunes weather-wise across the UK this afternoon, with showers and rain
00:08in the north-west, and some warm sunshine in the south-east.
00:12The latest satellite and radar imagery shows those sunnier skies in the south, but with
00:17cloudier conditions elsewhere, and rain affecting parts of the north and west.
00:22And that pattern continues through the rest of this afternoon, with warm sunshine in the
00:26south-east, but cloudier skies further north and west, with some heavy showers across Northern
00:31Ireland, and outbreaks of rain continuing to affect northern and western Scotland.
00:36It'll be a warm day in the sunshine with highs of around 24C, but temperatures only reaching
00:42the mid-teens across parts of Scotland.
00:45Sunday evening and night will see further spells of rain across the north and north-west
00:49of Scotland, but elsewhere there'll be a mixture of occasional clear spells and a scattering
00:54of showers.
00:56Showers holding in double figures in the towns and cities, but dipping into single
01:00figures in the countryside where there are any cloud breaks overnight.
01:04On Monday morning, early rain across northern and central Scotland will turn more showery
01:09through the day, although some of those showers will be heavy and slow moving.
01:13At the same time, rain will spread across parts of the south-east and east Anglia for
01:17the afternoon.
01:18Elsewhere, a mix of bright spells and scattered showers, with the showers turning heavy and
01:23possibly thundery particularly in the west.
01:26A cooler and fresher-feeling day than Sunday, with maximum temperatures in the mid- to high-teens
01:32for most.
01:33That's all from me for now, remember you can always stay up to date with the latest
