00:00Hello there, we've got a North-West-South-East split in our weather at the moment which is

00:05bringing mixed fortunes. It's all due to high pressure keeping things relatively settled

00:10in the South-East but its influence is only extending over half of the country and allowing

00:15fronts to progress through the North-West. And as we move into Saturday evening those

00:21fronts will be bringing some rain to particularly Western areas of Scotland and these could

00:25be persistent at times and generally rather cloudy for Scotland and Northern Ireland

00:30and increasingly into Wales as well. Clearer skies across elsewhere in England which could

00:37allow for some mist and fog patches to perform and it could turn a bit chilly in rural areas

00:41but towns and cities generally holding up around 10 degrees. So bright stars and some

00:48sunshine coming through for Sunday morning in the South-Eastern areas. A very different

00:53feel to things further North and West with generally cloudy skies and further outbreaks

00:59of rain continuing over the morning. These will turn showery into the afternoon and could

01:04be heavy at times with the odd rumble of thunder in there as well. Temperatures holding back

01:09a bit underneath that cloud but feeling much warmer in the sunshine in the South-East getting

01:15to highs of 24 degrees. As we move into Sunday evening the outbreaks of rain and showers

01:22will continue for North-Western areas providing a bit of a damp end to the weekend. If we

01:27pick the bigger picture up where we left it our story for next week actually starts over

01:32in North America. A strong jet stream will push its way across the Atlantic bringing

01:37weather fronts our way and the unsettled conditions are set to turn more widespread across the

01:42UK with a mixture of sunshine and showers. Again some of these showers could be heavy

01:47with the risk of thunder and general windy conditions as we move into the middle of the
