00:00Hello there, very good morning to you. Today marks the autumnal equinox and heralds in
00:05a brand new season and for some of us it certainly is going to be feeling very autumnal with
00:10low pressure moving into southern areas of the UK providing some very heavy rain in places
00:15and there is a rain warning in force for Wales, central southern areas of England. Some travel
00:20disruption is certainly likely over the course of the day with surface water issues and spray
00:24on the roads so take care if you are travelling or out and about. We could see some thunderstorms
00:29developing into the afternoon as well with some heavy showers also. It is a bit drier
00:34further towards north but quite cloudy along eastern areas of Scotland through the central
00:38belt and north-eastern England as well with some drizzle around, mist and murk over the
00:42coast and hills. Best of the sunshine for the likes of Northern Ireland and north-western
00:46Scotland as well. Temperatures will respond here for the likes of Oban, Fort William and
00:50western areas of Scotland we could again see 18-19 degrees Celsius. 2021 is still possible
00:55in the south-east but it is going to be feeling much more humid along these regions as underneath
01:00all that cloud and rain and the showers as they start to develop. The band of rain will
01:05continue to steadily push its way northwards as we head into the overnight period as well
01:09spreading in across the south-east and then moving into Wales, central regions of England
01:13as we head during the overnight stages. Again some very heavy pulses of rain maybe even
01:18thundery at times also and another rain warning comes into force from the start of Monday
01:22lasting right throughout the day. It will be quite a mild night for the vast majority
01:26of us underneath that cloud and the rain in there as well 14-15 degrees Celsius as the
01:31overnight lows. A little bit cooler though further towards the north particularly for
01:35north-western Scotland where we just hold on to a few clearer spells. There may be some
01:38rural spots first thing on Monday where it is actually quite chilly to start off the
01:42new working week. There is some uncertainty in regards to the exact positioning of this
01:47rain on Monday so it is worth staying up to date with the forecast for all the latest
01:52but it is possible that particularly eastern Wales into the Midlands and then this corridor
01:55up towards north-eastern England could see some very heavy pulses at times and again
02:00further travel disruption is possible. To the south of that band we will see some scattered
02:04showers developing again heavy in nature also but there will be some sunny spells in between
02:10those showers and that sunshine will again allow our temperatures to climb towards 20-21
02:15degrees Celsius. The cloud building in a bit more widely for Northern Ireland and Scotland
02:19now so not quite seeing the high teen figures that some places will see today more around
02:25mid-teens at best and particularly for the north of Scotland the likes of Lerwick there
02:28not seeing much higher than 10 degrees Celsius as some patchy rain moves into the very far
02:32north of Scotland and this will also bring in a bit of a change with a shift in wind
02:37direction as northerly winds begin to move their way in. Those northerly winds are coming
02:42in all the way from the Arctic so we are going to start to see some cooler conditions moving
02:46in and those will start to spread their way in across many areas of the UK as we head
02:50over the forthcoming days. It's looking like then it's autumn is certainly very much beginning
02:55and it is going to be remaining unsettled as we head into the new week so stay up to
02:58date with the forecast, do subscribe to the YouTube channel and we'll see you again here
03:02very soon. Bye bye.
