00:00Hello there, good morning. We do have an unsettled week of weather on the cards and we already
00:05have an amber rain warning in force across some areas during Monday with some heavy pulses
00:10possible. If we take a look at the rainfall accumulations over the course of today, you
00:14can see where those bright colours start appearing on the map, which is where we'll see at least
00:1850 to 80 millimetres of rain, if not locally, up to 100 or 120 millimetres of rain. That's
00:23well over a month's worth of rain falling by the end of the day. The main focus point
00:28for that is for parts of Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and then stretching up towards
00:31the Wash and the Humber. So that's where we have the amber rain warning in force today
00:35and here certainly some flooding and disruption is possible. Do stay up to date with travel
00:40providers for any delays and cancellations that might be occurring and if you're on the
00:43roads as well, some tricky travelling conditions are possible. Other areas of England and Wales
00:47will also see some heavy pulses at times and so we have a broader yellow rain warning in
00:52force across these regions as well, where again, there could be some localised impacts
00:56over the course of the day. The rainfall will come and go though, it's not one continuous
01:00band as you see on the charts here, so not every county and every location will see the
01:05same amount of rainfall, but where it does occur, that disruption is possible. A few
01:09brighter sunnier spells trying to develop into the far southeast later on in the afternoon
01:13and in that sunshine, temperatures could climb towards 21 degrees Celsius, but elsewhere
01:18it is a generally cooler feeling day, around 14 to 16 degrees Celsius. Quite cloudy for
01:22most of Northern Ireland and Scotland, but the best of the sunshine and brightness may
01:26be poking its way through for the likes of Dumfries and Galloway. We do also have a band
01:31of rain pushing its way into the far north of Scotland and that will slowly sink southwards
01:35across the Northern Isles and then into the Highlands and Lewis and Harris as we head
01:39towards the end of the day, turning quite breezy and gusty here later on as well. Staying
01:44cloudy overnight for Northern Ireland, but the rain in England and Wales will gradually
01:48ease off during this evening and push its way eastwards as we head during the early
01:52hours of Tuesday, still lingering for the likes of Lincolnshire down towards the home
01:56counties and London towards dawn. For most of us, tonight is a slightly cooler night
02:01compared to recent ones, generally temperatures holding up either side of 10 degrees Celsius,
02:06but probably still dropping into at least mid or low single figures across some very
02:10sheltered spots of Scotland. That rain then still in play for the far east of England,
02:15but it will eventually clear its way off through the first part of Tuesday, but that next band
02:20of rain across Scotland will gradually push its way southwards, spreading more into central
02:24regions as we head into the afternoon as well, turning quite damp and dull here. A few sunny
02:29spells trying to poke their way through for Northern Ireland with some showers around
02:32and again there could be some brightness in between the showers that develop across areas
02:35of England and Wales as well, but generally relatively limited. It will be a reasonably
02:40cloudy day for most and turning cooler for everyone as well. Temperatures generally around
02:4512 to 18 degrees Celsius. Looking into the rest of the week though, we do have another
02:51area of low pressure that is going to arrive for the middle part of the week. Wednesday
02:54and Thursday could bring some wet and windy conditions once again. Once that low pressure
02:59system clears its way off, we also see northerly winds beginning to stretch their way in across
03:04many areas and that will start feeding in even colder conditions as we head towards
03:08the end of the week. Temperatures dropping below average for the time of year for many
03:12of us but there will be a full week ahead update on our YouTube channel later on today
03:17so make sure you are subscribed for that so you get the notification of when it's uploaded.
03:21Otherwise, enjoy your day and we'll see you again here later on. Bye bye.
