00:00Hello there. The rest of Sunday is certainly looking like a day of dodging showers but
00:05also perhaps chasing some rainbows. There could be a few to watch out for. Though showers
00:09have been quite quickly putting into western areas. First thing this morning, this on the
00:13earlier radar sequence and they are very swiftly moving their way eastwards and will quite
00:18widely develop across many areas of the UK during the rest of Sunday. Some of them could
00:22be on the sharp side, maybe some hail and thunder in there. Do watch out for maybe some
00:27localised flooding issues in prone spots where you do get a very heavy downburst. But
00:31in between those showers there will be some decent sunny spells as well and in that sunshine
00:35with light winds it will feel relatively pleasant. Temperatures around 17 to 19 degrees Celsius
00:40but this is still below where we'd normally expect our temperatures to be for the start
00:44of July. Showers still rumbling on a touch as we head into this evening so if you're
00:49at Wimbledon, the British Grand Prix at Silverson or even in your local park, probably worth
00:53having your umbrella on hand just in case one passes you. But eventually into tonight
00:58the showers will ease their way off. Actually clear skies developing for many of us. Underneath
01:02those clear skies we could see some isolated mist and fog patches forming but it will also
01:07turn quite chilly. Temperatures dropping down to 9 to 11 degrees Celsius in towns and cities
01:12but rural spots could see temperatures as low as 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. Quite nippy
01:17certainly for the start of July. With those clear skies though it does mean there'll be
01:22a decent amount of sunshine to start off the new working week particularly in the northern
01:25half of the UK. Monday is looking like a rinse and repeat scenario of Sunday with those sunny
01:30spells. Showers developing a little later on, could be on the sharp side again. Just
01:34a touch more cloud for the northern hours throughout the day. The bulk of the cloud
01:38though will be pushing its way into the far south of England and eventually spreading
01:41into central areas of Wales as well. Turning quite gloomy and dull here and quite cool
01:48underneath all that cloud. Temperatures not rising much higher than 15 to 17 degrees Celsius
01:53with some gusty winds developing along coastlines. Where you do hold on to the sunshine particularly
01:58north Wales into central northern England, temperatures actually climbing a touch higher
02:02than recent days. 20, 21 degrees Celsius. That is closer to where we normally expect
02:06them to be at this point in the year. Perhaps maybe even feeling a touch summery. But that
02:12rain and cloud will steadily push its way northwards as we head into the end of Monday
02:17with temperatures rising upwards as we move into Wales and eventually northern England,
02:21northern Ireland during the overnight period. Turning quite heavy, the rain across southwest
02:25England and some very low cloud, quite murky as well. This is all associated with an area
02:30of low pressure that is gradually pushing its way in from the southwest and it will
02:34turn things more widely unsettled as we head into Tuesday with that rain spreading its
02:38way northwards. The slight small consolation prize is that it will be dragging in some
02:43warmer, humider air from the south. So temperatures will be rising a bit more towards average
02:50for the time of year, potentially more so into those 20 degrees Celsius. Turning a little
02:56drier as we head towards the end of the week, but we'll have plenty more updates on that
03:00as we head throughout the next few days. So make sure you're subscribing to the YouTube
03:03channel and we'll see you all later on. Bye bye.
