00:00Hello there. There's been several areas of rain that we've had to dodge over the
00:03course of Saturday. If we take a look at the radar from earlier today, we can see
00:08a rather persistent area of rain around Moray and Aberdeenshire, this heavy at
00:12times. There's been another band sweeping across Wales and into southern and
00:16central areas of England as well. As we move into Saturday evening, that band in
00:21the south will continue its way eastwards, pushing across East Anglia,
00:24London, but tending to fizzle out as it does so. The rain in the northeast will
00:28also clear off, but we'll see further spells moving into the northwest of
00:32Scotland instead, and Northern Ireland. Generally staying dry throughout the
00:36second half of the night across central and eastern areas of England, and it's
00:39here where we might see rural areas drop down to mid-single figures, but most
00:43towns and cities holding up around double digits. So a bright start to
00:48Sunday morning across central and eastern areas of England, a good amount
00:51of sunshine coming through here. The showers already though into northwestern
00:56areas, and we'll see them developing more widely over the course of Sunday.
01:00Initially along central areas, but then pushing eastwards into the afternoon, so
01:06the western side of the UK tending to turn drier later on. Temperatures around
01:11the seasonal average for the start of July, but a bit higher in the southeast
01:15where we've got the sunshine, and a bit lower in the northwest where there's
01:18more persistent clouds. The showers will tend to ease off into Sunday night for
01:23many of us, providing some dry intervals, but still northwest Scotland seeing
01:27further spells of rain here, and some rather breezy winds. Into next week then,
01:32high pressure in the Atlantic is going to start building in from the southwest,
01:35keeping it relatively fine and settled for southern areas, but its influence
01:40does not extend across the UK, and we'll see further fronts pushing into the
01:44north and west, so further spells of rain here at times. But temperatures on the
01:48climb for all of us, particularly where we see that sunshine in the southeast.
01:53To keep up to date with all of that though, follow us on social media, and we'll see you soon.
01:57Bye bye!
