00:00Hello there. It's quite a misty, murky start to the day for some of us, some dense areas
00:05of fog around, obscuring the skies like this shot in Northamptonshire. But generally the
00:10theme for today and even over the next few days is for skies to brighten up a bit more
00:15and for more in the way of some sunny spells to eventually develop. We do still have this
00:19area of rain lingering initially across parts of North East England but eventually clearing
00:23off but persisting quite widely for the far North East of Scotland with some brisk winds
00:28here. Showers pushing their way in from the west elsewhere but you'll see there are those
00:32sunnier brighter spells developing where the fog is slowly clearing off into the afternoon.
00:37Temperatures on the whole ranging between 8-12 degrees Celsius so not doing too badly
00:42really for the time of year. It is going to remain very wet though across Shetland as
00:47we head into this evening, that rain really persisting right throughout the night. Quite
00:51frequent showers as well pushing into parts of Northern Ireland, into Scotland they'll
00:54be turning wintry over the higher ground, again some showers for Wales, South West
00:58England as well. But you'll see again there are some clear spells and amongst those showers
01:03for a lot of us and underneath those clearing skies temperatures will just take a little
01:07bit more of a tumble compared to some recent nights. Many of us will be down into low single
01:11figures and certainly in some rural spots Apache frost is possible, maybe even some
01:15icy stretches around where we see those showers persisting overnight. Despite that chill in
01:20the air though there is going to be some sunshine around to start off Monday as well.
01:24Still got to cater for those showers throughout the day, they'll be most frequent and heaviest
01:28further towards the north and west, again still falling asleep in snow over higher ground
01:33areas. Those further towards the east and the south though likely staying drier during
01:38the day, quite a pleasant Monday overall here with some decent number of sunny intervals.
01:44Temperatures just slightly down compared to Sunday, a bit of a fresher feeling day around
01:486 to 10 degrees Celsius as you're high. It's probably feeling even colder, cooler than
01:53that for areas around coastal districts in the north west where we do have some quite
01:57brisk winds around in amongst those showers here. You might also just be able to pick
02:02out there's this slightly longer band of showers just sweeping its way in and that will continue
02:06to move its way eastwards across northern areas of the UK as we head into the evening.
02:10But again some clearer spells around to end the day for others elsewhere. As we do move
02:15into Tuesday we've got this ridge of high pressure building its way in that will hopefully
02:19allow for a slightly fine dry start across a good chunk of the UK where from the far
02:24north. But this area of low pressure is also arriving in the south west and that's starting
02:28to feed in some milder air with it. So generally temperatures are set to be on the climb as
02:33we head throughout the first part of next week reaching mid teens for some of us as
02:39we head towards Wednesday, although that is going to be accompanied by further outbreaks
02:43of rain and generally cloudier skies at times. So enjoy those sunnier spells as they do develop
02:48for you over the next couple of days. We'll have plenty of updates on everything that's
02:52coming our way obviously on the YouTube channel so make sure you are subscribing and we'll
02:56see you again here very soon. Bye bye.
