00:00Hello there, good evening. As we look ahead to a new week, things will be starting on
00:05a reasonably fine note for many of us. That is due to an area of high pressure that is
00:09waiting in the wings out in the Atlantic, ready to move towards the UK on Monday. For
00:14Sunday evening though, we do still have low pressure lingering across southern districts,
00:18providing further rainfall. And with this rain falling on already very saturated ground,
00:23there is a potential for localised flooding and do take care overnight, even into the
00:27start of Monday. We could see some disruption around in places. As well, there'll be some
00:32clear spells overnight. Showers pushing into the far north and as these start falling on
00:36frozen surfaces where we see temperatures plummeting away, we could see some icy stretches
00:41forming first thing on Monday morning. Generally further south, east temperatures will hold
00:46up a touch more underneath the more widespread clouds here, but it does mean it's going to
00:50be a fairly drab and grey start to the day. The rain as well could take until the afternoon
00:55to properly clear off the likes of East Sussex and Kent. Elsewhere though, the showers will
01:00tend to ease out during the day and many of us will see some sunshine developing at some
01:05point and it will be largely dry for the vast majority of us. Temperatures will be around
01:11where we'd expect them to be for the time of year, generally ranging between eight and
01:1510 degrees Celsius. But we do have some quite brisk winds around on Monday, particularly
01:21in the far northwest, but also a north easterly wind coming directly down from the North Sea.
01:27And so when you add the effects of those winds on, you can see that the fields like temperatures
01:31are a good number of degrees below what you'll actually be reading on the thermometer. So
01:35if you are exposed to those winds, it could feel quite chilly out and about. Despite the
01:41wind though, it will be a fairly fine end to the day for many of us as well. Dry for
01:46the vast majority of us really, if not all of us. We'll see some clear intervals and
01:51where we hold on to those starry skies for England and Wales, it will certainly turn
01:55into a chilly night with some frost forming fog and mispatches also certainly possible.
02:00Temperatures will actually rise into the second half of the night for the far northwest of
02:04Scotland as we see this rain band moving its way in and some strong blustery winds pushing
02:10in more from a southwesterly direction, just starting to feed in some milder conditions
02:13here. This band of rain is all associated with a cold front that is pushing its way
02:19into the northwest and we'll watch throughout Tuesday as that cold front pushes its way
02:23south eastwards during the day. Some heavy pulses of rain possible on this for a time,
02:28but generally it will tend to ease off, turning lighter and patchier during the day. So the
02:33far southeast staying dry for a good portion, although the skies will be turning cloudier,
02:38but in the northwest it will be turning brighter into the afternoon with some sunny spells,
02:42but also scattered showers pushing in on that northwesterly wind. Temperatures reasonably
02:48similar to the day before, again 8 to 10 degrees Celsius as your maximum, probably
02:53feeling again quite cold or exposed to the strongest winds and underneath the most persistent
02:58clouds though. As we head into the second half of the week, we hold on to a fairly changeable
03:04theme. So there's another ridge of high pressure looking like it will build in for Wednesday,
03:08should again provide a reasonably fine day for many of us. But as we transition from
03:12February into March, low pressure arrives once again. So most of us should probably
03:17expect for some rain or showers later on in the week. We'll have plenty more updates
03:21on that across the YouTube channel, so make sure you are subscribing to stay up to date
03:27with the latest information. Otherwise, I wish you a very good evening. Bye bye.
