00:00Hello there, and welcome to your latest update. The last Sunday of meteorological winter has
00:05been rather spring-like for a lot of us. If we take a look at the latest satellite imagery,
00:10we can see, well, not a lot. There's been plenty of clear skies across England and Wales,
00:15a bit more clouds around Northern Ireland and western areas of Scotland, and this could
00:19bring some isolated spells of rain as we move throughout Sunday afternoon. This then beginning
00:24to fringe a bit more into western Cornwall and western areas of Wales as well. Otherwise,
00:30plenty of sunshine for many of us through the day, with a bit of a moderate breeze around,
00:34but temperatures peaking at 11 or 12 degrees or so. As we move into Sunday evening, and
00:42the rain that's out in the Atlantic will begin to make its presence a bit more widely known,
00:46spreading across Northern Ireland and Scotland. The cloud ahead of this also beginning to
00:51build then across Wales and the rest of England. A bit of a chilly start under the clear skies
00:57for the south-eastern areas, but temperatures will continue to rise as that cloud begins
01:02to build, and areas further west will be rather mild throughout the night. As we head into
01:08Monday morning, the rain will slowly make its way south-eastwards, and this could turn
01:14heavy and persistent at times. Showers feeding into Scotland and Northern Ireland behind
01:20this, these bringing hail and some wintry nature across the higher ground of Scotland.
01:25A rather dry day for south-eastern areas of England, with temperatures here peaking around
01:3013 degrees, but turning colder in the north across Scotland behind that front. This rain
01:37providing a bit of uncertainty as we move throughout the coming week, so do make sure
01:41to stay up to date with our social media channels for the latest. Bye bye.
