00:00Hello there. Some of us are going to see a noticeable drop in our temperatures over the
00:05coming few days, particularly so for Western Scotland, where we've seen the best of the
00:09sunshine recently and even climbed to highs of 17 degrees Celsius on Saturday. But moving
00:14through the rest of the weekend and into the new working week, those temperatures will
00:18be sliding off down to single figures into Tuesday and Wednesday. It's all because our
00:25winds are shifting around to a northerly direction as this area of low pressure moves off to
00:29the east, allowing this feed of Arctic air to push its way in across pretty much all
00:34areas of the UK. As we head into Monday, we'll see some of these changes throughout Saturday
00:40evening and the winds will be strengthening across the far north of Scotland. And so there
00:44is the risk of gales across the Northern Isles as we move towards Sunday morning. Elsewhere,
00:48it will be a night of outbreaks of rain coming and going and the cloud will be building for
00:53quite a lot of areas. But underneath that boundary layer of clouds, temperatures will
00:58be holding up around five to seven degrees Celsius in most towns and cities, just the
01:03potential for some lower single figure values, particularly across Argyll and Bute, where
01:07we hold on to some of those clearer spells. The rain across northeast Scotland will start
01:12falling as a wintry mixture over the Grampians and higher ground routes into Sunday as that
01:17cold air begins to dig its way in. The gales, though, will also be continuing, particularly
01:21around coasts. These are feels like temperatures on the map, so it's going to be feeling close
01:25to freezing across northeastern areas of Scotland. Northern Ireland getting off with
01:30a largely dry day, but still the risk of some showers. But they'll be most frequent across
01:34Wales and into areas of England where they could be quite sharp at times. More persistent
01:39rain pushing across southeastern England throughout the days that could provide for a relatively
01:43wet and damp London marathon. If you are running here, you've seen even feels like temperatures
01:49across the south climbing no higher than nine or 10 degrees Celsius. But on the thermometer,
01:53at least we'll probably record highs of 13 or 14 degrees into Sunday evening. These outbreaks
02:00of rain in the southeast will continue to clear their way off. The showers for England
02:03and Wales will also die down as well, but they're going to persist for northern areas
02:07of Scotland. And by the end of the day, we'll probably see some sleet and hail even to lower
02:13levels. Some clearer spells in between, so that will allow for a slightly chillier night.
02:19Apache frost is possible across some areas of Scotland, towns and cities around three
02:24to five degrees Celsius. But where you do have those clearer spells, it does mean that
02:28you have some sunshine first thing on Monday morning, but cloudier for Northern Ireland
02:33and then into Wales and southwest England as this rain moves in, shifting its way eastwards
02:38throughout the day. The sunnier spells developing for Northern Ireland are just a scattering
02:42of showers here and for western Scotland. The showers will be more frequent across eastern
02:47coastal areas where they'll be bushing in on quite a brisk breeze. Again, the winds
02:53strongest across the east, and it will feel quite bitter and raw if you are exposed to
02:58that breeze here. Temperatures around seven degrees Celsius, climbing to 13 at 12 degrees
03:03Celsius further to the south. But we're going to hold on to those rather cold temperatures
03:09as we move throughout the rest of the week as well. We usually expect temperatures at
03:15the later end of April to be around 11, 12 degrees across parts of Scotland and more
03:2016 degrees across southern areas of England. So we are four or five degrees below where
03:26we should be for the time of year. Do keep up to date with the full forecast, though,
03:31as we head into the new working week. And you can do that by following us on all of
03:35our social media channels. And we'll be back here on the app, the website and on YouTube
03:40very soon. Bye bye.
