00:00Hi there. Bright spells and showers remain the theme during the next few days but Thursday
00:06night at least starts off largely dry with clear spells particularly across southern
00:11Scotland, much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. Now for western Scotland, Northern
00:16Ireland, thicker cloud coming and going at times. The showers, well ebbing and flowing
00:21I think through much of the night they stay away but they will reappear into the Western
00:26Isles by the end of the night, particularly the far north-west of Scotland. Breezy here,
00:31lighter winds elsewhere and the cloud thickens from the south as the night goes on. Eleven
00:36or twelve degrees the overnight low in the south, eight or nine in places further north.
00:42Now we're going to see these weather fronts take over during Friday, they'll bring showery
00:47rain but ahead of them another plume of fairly unstable weather across the continent and
00:54just like a night or two ago we're going to see some very heavy rain affecting the
00:59continent with some lively thunderstorms but we're just on the northern extent of that
01:03and it's most likely to be light rain for the most part but could see some heavier bursts
01:08towards the south-east depending on how close those thunderstorms get. The real thunder
01:12activity though largely staying away and then further showers push on for the rest of the
01:17UK and perhaps some longer spells of rain into western Scotland as well as north-west
01:22England by the end of the afternoon. It's a cool day with temperatures of 19 degrees
01:26in London, 16, 17 elsewhere and some persistent wet weather pushing through Scotland, northern
01:31England for the evening rush hour, clearing out the way then for the evening and then
01:36well still some showers for western Scotland but for many it's a clear night, patchy cloud,
01:42western areas, clear spells further east and temperatures similar compared to Thursday
01:49night. A bright start though for Saturday, plenty of sunshine for central and eastern
01:53parts of the UK. The cloud quite quickly builds and fills and by the afternoon many places
02:00will see a mixture of bright spells, cloudy conditions and some sun poking through. The
02:07cloud could give one or two showers for say parts of Wales and the south-west, the Midlands
02:11but most of the shower activity once again, western parts and central parts of Scotland
02:16where it will be pretty cloudy through the day. Temperatures up to 21 degrees in London
02:21but most other places 15 to 17 degrees. And then we start off Sunday with outbreaks of
02:28rain crossing the north, turning to showers and there will be further sunny spells in
02:33between those showers. Bye bye.
