00:00Hello, we've got some changeable weather as we head through this coming weekend. But through
00:04the rest of Friday, there'll be some sunshine around across the UK. In fact, the best of
00:08that across southern areas through the rest of this afternoon, where here it's going to
00:12be feeling quite warm and humid. Now, further north, we will see some showers for northern
00:16England, parts of eastern Scotland. A few of those could be on the heavy side to this
00:20afternoon. But for many of us, it will be a dry afternoon, temperatures not too bad
00:24for the time of year where they should be for most places, but still very warm across
00:29southern areas. 26 to 28 from Cardiff to London means that it will be quite a warm
00:33and humid afternoon with that sunshine and the sunshine is still strong. So do bear that
00:38in mind if you are out and about. Through the rest of this evening then, and as we go
00:43into the overnight period, those showers will continue across eastern areas, but starting
00:48to die away as we see this weather front pushing in from the west. So that could bring some
00:52heavier rain, some brisker winds for Northern Ireland, Western Scotland, and that pushes
00:56across much of Scotland through the course of the night. Rain getting into the north
01:00of England as well, some low cloud and mist and murk and drizzle for the west of Wales.
01:05But further east and south that you come, it stays dry. There will be some clear spells
01:09around and a much milder night than we had last night. Our temperatures dropping no lower
01:14than between 14 to 17 degrees. So quite warming places, I think, with that cloud and some
01:20of the rain. So as we start the day on Saturday, then quite a wet picture for large parts of
01:26the country. A bit of a disappointing start to the day, but it will improve somewhat through
01:30the day. I think the rain will start to ease for Scotland. We'll see some brighter skies
01:34coming through, one or two showers around, but you'll see that rain does persist for
01:38parts of Cumbria, Lancashire and also through the northwest of Wales. To the south of it
01:43though, it stays dry. There'll be some sunny breaks developing in that cloud. A bit more
01:47cloud though than what we've had through Friday, but still temperatures getting to 28 degrees.
01:51It's pretty warm and humid once again. Now, through Saturday evening, we will begin to
01:57see that rain easing, but we're keeping a close eye on this next wave that's pushing
02:03its way in. This is a little frontal feature which starts to slide its way into central
02:07parts of the UK. A little bit of uncertainty as to how far north or south that goes, but
02:12what it will do is bring some fairly welcome rain in some places through Sunday. More on
02:19that though in just a second. First of all though, through Saturday evening, we continue
02:23to see that frontal system move away, some clearer skies then developing across the north
02:27of the UK. But further south, the cloud and rain gathers and we start to see some heavier
02:31rain pushing in for Wales, the Midlands and also the southwest of England. Now, as I say,
02:36some of these areas haven't seen a lot of rain through July, so this will be welcome
02:39rain for farmers and growers. Temperatures still on the very mild side across the south,
02:44a warm night, 17, 18 degrees, but much colder across the west of Scotland where we could
02:49see those temperatures down to mid single figures in a few places. So, through Sunday
02:54then we'll see that rain starting to push its way in. It will bring the risk of some
02:58rain or showers for many southern parts of the country. Still some uncertainty as to
03:02how far that rain will get to the east, so there may still not be that much rain for
03:07the southeast of England and those temperatures here where we do see some sunshine will still
03:11be on the warm and humid side. But the best of the sunshine through Sunday will likely
03:15to be for the north of the UK where it will feel a bit fresher with those temperatures
03:19nearer to normal. Now, Alex will be back later on with an update for you, but for now you
03:25can follow us on social media. I'll see you soon. Take care.
