08:27Well, maybe that's different, said Emily. I think you'd have to decide which is more important, the secret or safety.
08:35Push away, called Pearl.
08:37Theodore was startled by Pearl's voice, ordering the tugs to jam the old rusty wreck into the dock.
08:42Theodore knew George was hiding behind the other arch.
08:45If he pushed, George would be mushed.
08:51So instead of pushing like he was supposed to, Theodore secretly pulled.
08:57Theodore, you are pulling, boom Pearl. Now push, do your job.
09:01Right, do my job, thought Theodore.
09:04But he was frozen. What was he going to do?
09:08Fodook and Emily were pushing away with all their might.
09:11The old rusty wreck began to make a terrible grinding sound.
09:16It was scrunched together with the barge, tighter and tighter.
09:21Stop, yelled Theodore.
09:23George is hiding behind the scrap barge. He'll be squished.
09:26There, it said it.
09:29Emily and Fodook stopped pushing right away, very surprised.
09:33Then everyone heard a small voice from the back of old dock number nine.

11:08The tugboats moved closer to see what was happening.

11:16George had made his choice. And you know what?
11:19Much to his surprise, the scraping and the filling hadn't hurt at all.
11:22In fact, it tickled.
11:25The tugboats saw George grinning way up there in the dry dock.
11:28Look at me! This is fun!
11:32Then George saw the other tugboats staring at him in amazement.
11:36He stopped and put back on his serious George face.
11:39Yes, well, he said clearing his throat.
11:42We tugboats have to be ship-shaped, right?
11:45Then the tugs began to laugh and toot together.
11:47And you know who had the biggest, widest smile of them all?
11:50George the Valiant.
11:56Well, they don't call George the Valiant for nothing.
11:59Valiant means someone who is brave and true.
12:01And George was very brave to go in for his haul check up all by himself.
12:05But I knew he could do it.
