00:00It's going to be an exciting few hours for not only Rafe Beckett but the owners Mark
00:17Chan and Andrew Rosen who own Prosperous Voyage and Le Zoo in partnership so yeah they've
00:23got plenty to look forward to.
00:25Prosperous Voyage who, being an extraordinarily tough and genuine filly, she progressed quickly
00:32at two. I'm not sure we knew how good she was when we first ran her in the prestige
00:38stakes, she progressed quickly to finish second in the Mayhill and the fillies mile and then
00:42at three obviously she had a stellar year with being second in the guineas and winning
00:48the Falmouth stakes so we've had a terrific time with her at two and three and she backed
00:54that up by winning the Princess Elizabeth at four so it's been a really good trip with
00:59her, she obviously has a very good pedigree, it's almost an outcross pedigree because there's
01:07no northern dancer replicated in her pedigree and for that reason you know I hope that she'll
01:14sell very well, she certainly deserves to, strong robust filly with a good walk.
01:19I think the thing to remember about Prosperous Voyage is that she very much wasn't a one
01:23hit wonder, she also won the Princess Elizabeth stakes at Epsom group three, she was second
01:28in the fillies mile as a two-year-old and she was very narrowly beaten in the 1000 guineas
01:32so she's a very high-class filly in every respect.
01:37Prosperous Voyage's run in the 1000 guineas was pretty exceptional, she did it off without
01:42a prep, she was only just ready to run and then to back that up beating in spiral amongst
01:49others in the Falmouth, Sandrine as well who went on and was a group two winner subsequently
01:54so the Falmouth really was a crowning moment and Lizu took her racing extraordinarily well
02:00at two.
02:01I think I ran her four times in six weeks, something like that, from a maiden to the
02:08Empress stakes, the Princess Margaret and the Cherry Hint, she had a break then and
02:13came back strongly to win the Cheveley Park.
02:16This year things haven't gone quite so well but she did win the hopeful stakes against
02:21the Colts, she's been a sound, genuine filly throughout and like Prosperous Voyage she's
02:28barely had a sick day so I think she'll do very well as a racehorse next year or a broodmare.
02:37And Lizu's two-year-old career was formally recognised when she was voted Cartier Champion
02:42two-year-old filly of Europe which I think gives a very clear assessment of really what
02:47a smart performance that was in the group one Cheveley Park.
02:50To be able to come back from the last weekend in July to winning a championship race in
03:01early October takes a bit of doing, she had a bit of a dip after winning the Princess
03:06Margaret and we had to bring her back gradually so for her to do that was quite extraordinary
03:12really and unusual, I was very proud of her that day.
