00:00Queen Caroline is a very special offering and we're honored to have the opportunity
00:21to sell her in the 2023 NIDA Star Sale.
00:24You know, she's 10 years old.
00:26She's a dam of a champion in her first foal with Forte.
00:30She's also proven to be a mare that can produce a top sales yearling.
00:34Her second foal bought $850,000, so it's kind of the complete package that you're looking
00:39for in terms of a commercial broodmare.
00:43Queen Caroline is a really pretty bling.
00:47She's 16, 1 1⁄2 inches.
00:50She's a really classy, strong, built, and I think that attribute got to the foal because
00:57he doesn't want to get beat.
00:59Anybody that's followed his race career, he's going to be trying at the end.
01:04How he won the Jim Dandy, you know, that was just pure grit.
01:09Angel of Empire, Saudi Crown, Forte, here's the line, photo finish.
01:14Forte was very special from the very beginning.
01:18He's just an exceptional colt, enormous talent, tactical speed, ability to stretch out, pretty
01:26much everything you're looking for in a racehorse.
01:28Well, the story of Forte and the story of Queen Caroline is really remarkable.
01:35Amy Moore's first purchase as a yearling was Queen Caroline.
01:39She made over $400,000, and the first foal that she has is Forte.
01:44So it's just a storybook story, and I think she's going to have a really happy ending.
01:50Amy Moore is a small breeder, and she has a commercial operation.
01:56The mares become too valuable to have on her little farm in Virginia.
02:00You know, it pays away for her to be able to buy a few more mares and keep it going.
02:05One of the things that's really exciting about Queen Caroline is her pedigree.
02:09She's by blame, who's emerging as one of the best broodmare sires in the world.
02:13You've got Seattle Slew in the pedigree, and you've also got one of the most exciting Japanese
02:18horses in many, many years, Contrail, active in the pedigree as well.
02:23Every year she's been bred, she's been bred one time except the second year when she had
02:28the Uncle Mo, she was bred two times that year.
02:31And I'm confident that she's good to go and going to have a lot of foals right in a row
02:37because she's fertile and she's young.
02:39You know, it's really an honor and it's really exciting for us at Fasig-Tipton to have a
02:43mare like Queen Caroline in foal to flight line.
02:46She's in foal very, very early, on her February 24th cover date.
02:49She'll be one of the first mares offered in foal to flight line, and the potential that
02:53he possesses as a stallion is really enormous.
02:56Obviously, he's a very special horse to everybody in the industry.
03:00Here's the potential.
03:01You've got to spend a lot of money to buy the mare.
03:04You know, for a commercial breeder, those fillies are really going to be in demand all
03:08her life.
03:09And because she's produced a stallion, all foals out of her are going to be worth a lot
03:13of money.
03:14Oh, I think anybody in the world could buy Queen Caroline.
03:16I mean, I literally think I would be hesitant to predict who the buyer be or where they'll
03:22be from.
03:23She has truly international appeal.
03:25I mean, I can't imagine anybody not wanting to add Queen Caroline to their broodmare band.
