00:00Hello. A fine Friday for most places and you know what, the decent weather is going to
00:06last for most of us into the weekend. Temperatures around average and most places seeing sunny
00:10spells. Thursday ended with the weather front sitting over the UK, bringing quite a bit
00:15of wet weather. But through the night that's been trickling away to the south and leaving
00:20behind it quite a bit of sunshine. There are still showers across the northwest of Scotland
00:24and they will keep going through the day. Over the Highlands, the Western Isles and
00:28the Northern Isles, it's quite gusty here as well still. The odd shower for southern
00:32Scotland and Northern Ireland, but they should tend to zip through and most places here dry.
00:37And certainly the vast majority across England and Wales looking good out there this afternoon,
00:42dry and fine. Yes, some cloud here and there, but some decent spells of sunshine. The heat
00:46and humidity has been pushed away by that weather front. We'll still get up to 24, 25
00:52degrees across the southeast. Generally further west though, a little cooler with temperatures
00:56getting into the high teens around coasts and feeling cool with that gusty wind across
01:01the far northwest, which will continue to throw showers in here as we go through the
01:05night. If anything, the winds likely to pick up a little bit during the night across northern
01:09Scotland. It's quite a blustery night here. The odd shower may be still through the central
01:13belt and across northern parts of Northern Ireland, possibly into Cumbria too. But for
01:18most of England and Wales, dry and clear and light winds. And that combination means it'll
01:24actually be quite a bit cooler than it has been for many a night, certainly over eastern
01:29areas, temperatures in rural spots likely to dip down to single figures, towns and cities
01:33at 11 or 12 Celsius. So yeah, a cooler start to Saturday, but a good looking day. Yes,
01:39there will be some cloud developing and still possibly one or two showers over Cumbria and
01:44western Scotland, certainly northern Scotland seeing a few showers and still quite breezy
01:50here. But for the majority, it's going to be dry and fine. Come the afternoon, well,
01:55the middle of the day, really northern Ireland, southern Scotland, seeing one or two showers
01:58moving through. But again, most places won't see them. Sunny spells across the south and
02:03the east, lifting the temperatures into the low 20s, 23, 24 in and around the capital.
02:09Most places a little lower than that. So high teens, low 20s, but feeling pleasant, I suspect
02:14when the sun is out and it'll be a fine Saturday evening. If you've got plans heading out,
02:19still a few scattered showers across parts of Scotland, particularly so in the south
02:23and the far north, where it will still be quite breezy thanks to an approaching weather
02:28fronts and low pressure systems up towards Iceland. But for most places, we're being
02:33influenced by a ridge of high pressure out in the Atlantic, and that's going to keep
02:37things fine into Sunday. Yes, we will see again more showers over the Highlands and
02:42the Western Isles, but most places elsewhere dry and find some cloud bubbling up through
02:46the day. It's not going to be crystal clear blue skies all day, but there'll be sunny
02:50spells for most places. And generally, the winds will be pretty light, certainly for
02:55England and Wales. And so when the sun's out, feels pretty pleasant with temperatures into
02:59the low 20s. Again, further north, more likely mid to high teens. So as I said, all in all,
03:05a fine weekend. There will be some showers across northwest Scotland. Keep up to date
