Transcript
00:00Good morning. A bit of a dull and damp day today for Northern Ireland and the West Coast of Scotland.
00:05But for many, we will see quite a bit of sunshine.
00:08And that's really going to lift the temperatures.
00:10A very warm day for the bulk of England and Wales, widely into the mid-20s.
00:14And then around London, 28 Celsius is possible.
00:17That's 82 Fahrenheit.
00:19Cooler conditions for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:21Temperatures here much closer to average.
00:23And that's because it is going to be pretty cloudy.
00:26We've started the day with outbreaks of rain for Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.
00:30Some heavy bursts here as well.
00:32It will ease off a little through the day.
00:34Showery rain for the central belt, southern and eastern Scotland.
00:38That should tend to peter out.
00:39So, actually, for a good chunk of Scotland, most of the afternoon will be dry.
00:43But predominantly cloudy.
00:44I fancy the Moray Firth may brighten up.
00:46And the Outer Hebrides may cheer up as well.
00:49But staying pretty dull and damp for Northern Ireland and the West Coast of Scotland.
00:52What about England and Wales?
00:54Well, some mist and fog around right now.
00:56That should tend to melt away fairly sharply.
00:59One or two showers possible for North Wales, North West England.
01:02But most of England and Wales will be fine and sunny.
01:05Maybe a few more of those showers drifting across Northern England this evening.
01:09The rain should peter out this evening across Northern Ireland.
01:13And generally, for many, it will be a dry night.
01:16It's going to be a warm night.
01:18A little bit warmer than the night just gone for most.
01:21Temperatures likely to hold up in urban areas.
01:2316, 17 degrees Celsius.
01:25So, quite a warm start to Friday.
01:27That's going to be a hot day where we see the sunniest skies over central and eastern parts.
01:32Further west, a bit more cloud.
01:33So, some of these coasts around South West England, West Wales, North West England,
01:38West Coast of Scotland could be a bit grey and murky.
01:41But generally, tomorrow a drier day for Northern Ireland and the West Coast of Scotland
01:45until this next area of rain comes into the North West late on.
01:49Still a fair bit of cloud around.
01:51Plenty of hot, hazy sunshine over the Midlands and eastern England.
01:54Temperatures higher tomorrow likely to reach 30, perhaps even 31,
01:59in and around the London area or even further north without the rain.
02:03Yes, still quite a bit of cloud, but some brightness lifting temperatures into the low 20s.
02:07The main exception will be the Outer Hebrides where temperatures will only be in the mid-teens.
02:12This weather front, though, is going to mix things up a little bit as we head into the weekend.
02:16For more details on that, you should check out our 10-day trend.
02:20That's available on YouTube.
