00:00Hello there, good morning. Welcome to your latest forecast from the Met Office. Low pressure
00:06dominating the weather pattern through the rest of the Bank holiday weekend, bringing
00:10spells of rain, some heavy downpours as well, some thunderstorms possible and turning quite
00:15breezy around the coast as well. So, generally, an unsettled theme for the next few days.
00:21So, let's take a look at the details and it's a rather cloudy start for much of the UK this
00:25morning. Outbreaks of rain pushing northward, some dry interludes across northern Scotland
00:29before rain arrives from the south here and brightening skies from the south-west. But
00:34as the sunshine comes out, it will help develop those shower clouds and across much of England
00:40and Wales, an afternoon of sunny spells and showers. Some of these will be heavy at times,
00:45the risk of hail, thunder and some frequent lightning in there too. So, there could be
00:49some local disruptions. So, the Met Office warning is out for the afternoon into the
00:53evening time. So, do take care if you are travelling. Cloudier skies generally for Northern
00:58Ireland, far north of Northern England into southern Scotland with some outbreaks of showery
01:03rain here and some of this could be heavy at times too. In terms of temperatures, generally
01:08for most, a degree or so down compared to Saturday, 17 to 20 Celsius, but just feeling
01:14a little warmer across some eastern areas where we struggled around 14 or 15 degrees
01:19under the cloud and rain yesterday. Still a little breezy around the coast, but for
01:23most, the winds on the light side. Through the evening time, further hefty downpours
01:28are possible, but they tend to fade away as we move through into the early hours. But
01:33there will be still longer spells of rain affecting parts of Northern England, Northern
01:37Ireland and parts of Scotland as well. Some of this could be heavy at times. And then
01:41later on, some showers moving in to the south-west. There will be some clear spells around and
01:47that will just allow temperatures to dip into single figures for one or two of us, but for
01:51the vast majority, starting the day off on Monday around 11 or 12 degrees. There will
01:56be some sunshine first thing, but it won't be long before showers start to bubble up
02:01across much of England and Wales. Again, some of these heavy at times. Further spells of
02:05rain across western Scotland, some heavy downpours, possibly thundery showers developing across
02:11northern and eastern Scotland too. Some sunny spells for Northern Ireland, southern Scotland
02:15and northern England, but I wouldn't rule out a few showers here. And then later on
02:19in the day, the showers start to fade from the west. A fresher feeling day for all. Temperatures
02:2417 to 19 degrees generally and a little breezy around the coasts as well. Low pressure continues
02:32to dominate as we head into Tuesday. Further showers, longer spells of rain. Temperatures
02:37near average for the time of year, and it remains unsettled for much of the week to
02:43come as well. However, high pressure may start to build in later. For more details on this,
02:48you can follow us on our social media channels. See you again soon.
